Lakehead University is excited to mark an important milestone this year! We opened our
Orillia campus to just over 100 students in September 2006 at Heritage Place in downtown
Orillia. In 2016, we are celebrating 10 years of fostering exceptional and unconventional
educational opportunities in the County of Simcoe.
A lot can happen in 10 years!
We now have over 1,400 students studying at both
our downtown site and at our Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design (LEED®) certified campus, located
at 500 University Avenue, which opened in 2010.
We invite you to celebrate with us! In this package

Streets Alive! – Lakehead Story Pole
Downtown Orillia
Watch for the Lakehead sponsored story pole at this
year’s Streets Alive! celebration and unveiling. Professor
Chris Murray has done it again with his creative work
of art, “A 10-Story Building,” depicting 10 years of
Lakehead Orillia’s growth.

Calling all golfers and non-golfers! Join the Simcoe
County Alumni Chapter for a fun and “anything but
serious” 10-hole golf tournament. Following the golf fun,

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Brian Stevenson for a giant birthday
party and barbeque celebration at the Orillia campus.
