ABEES - Air Conditioner (Gas-Electric) Incentive Program Air Conditioning units are categorized for incentives based on tonnage/capacity and efficiency ratings. Efficiency ratings of new units utilize Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) and/or Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER). Higher efficiency ratings will result in larger Incentives and greater energy savings. A prescriptive incentive will be applied per‐Ton for qualifying AC units. BEFORE STARTING any energy efficiency projects please Contact Anaheim Public Utilities. Projects already begun prior to application approval and pre-inspection MAY NOT BE ELIGIBLE. If you require any assistance, please email [email protected] for program support. Please first read the "Incentive Rules & Restrictions" and the “Incentive Application Process & Instructions” before beginning your incentive application process. PRESCRIPTIVE-BASED PER-TON INCENTIVE All Prescriptive‐Based Per‐Ton with TIER I Category Program Incentives measures are limited to maximum set Incentive of $50,000 or 50% of project cost, whichever is less See Incentive Tables below for minimum efficiency qualifications for each tonnage category. FY15-16 TIER I: Less Than or equal to 2.5-Ton PTAC units Equipment Type Tonnage (Btu/h Capacity) Minimum Efficiency Incentive Must be 20% Greater Air Cooled Package Terminal, Thru-the-Window, Thru-the-Wall ≤ 2.5 Ton than 2013 Title 24 minimum EER ≤ 30,000 Btu/h $100/Unit (Incentive Application will Calculate Eligibility) FY15-16 TIER I: 2.0-Ton up to 5.3-Ton Package AC units Equipment Type Air Cooled Package &/or Split System Tonnage (Btu/hr Capacity) Efficiency Options Incentive ≥ 15 SEER $75/per ton ≥ 16 SEER $150/per ton ≥ 17 SEER $400/per ton 2.0 Ton– 5.3 Ton (24,000 – 65,000) Btu/h FY15-16 TIER I: 5.4-Ton and Greater Package AC units Equipment Type Air Cooled Package &/or Split System Tonnage (Btu/hr Capacity) Minimum Efficiency Incentive 5.4 Ton– 11.3 Ton (65,000 - 135,000) Btu/h ≥ 11.5 EER $250/per ton 11.4 Ton– 20 Ton (135,000 - 240,000) Btu/h ≥ 11.2 EER $200/per ton 20.1 Ton– 63.3 Ton (240,000 - 760,000) Btu/h ≥ 10.3 EER $150/per ton >63.4Ton (>760,000) Btu/h ≥ 10.0 EER $150/per ton
