Hi Grade 4s and 5s!
Please read and do the following instructions CAREFULLY:
1. Launch Microsoft Word and open the WILDLIFE template. (Look in: Pc9\templates\
04 Red\Unit 4 EC - Ecology\EC Templates)
2. Save As: Wildlife yourname on PC9\Sudent Desk\Grade 4.
3. Replace the words Date and Name with today’s date and your name. (Double-click to go to
the header)
4. Double-click next to Question 1:
5. Start with the assignment below:
Assignment
Question 1:
You are required to give (1) the name, (2) the website, and (3) the address or telephone number, of
any wildlife reserve in South Africa.
Use Google. Search for: wildlife reserve South Africa. Choose any website you want and go look for
the information you need. Type everything under Question 1. Remember: Press <Enter> to go
down one line.
Question 2:
Search on Google for Giant Panda, find and go to the wikipedia website, and answer the following
questions:
1. What do Pandas eat? (Read first paragraph to find out).
2. In which country do they live? (Second paragraph).
3. How much food can a Panda eat in a day? (Scroll further down to number 3: Diet)
Question 3:
Follow this link: Eagle Population News and answer the following questions:
1. Who is the writer of the article?
Scroll down to see the bar graph and answer the following:
2. What does the numbers in the graph indicate?
3. Where did this information come from? (Look for the source)
4. By looking at the shape of the graph, is the Eagle population increasing in Michigan?
(Yes/No)
5. Was the population increasing from 1970 to 1980? (Yes/No)
6. How much did the population increase from 2000 to 2010? (Take the population in 2010
minus that of 2000. Use Paint if you want to write it down to calculate. Save as
calc yourname if you use Paint.)
6. Save and Close.
