Cell Phone: 314-517-1845
Year: Second Year
Please answer the following questions
1. Why do you want to serve in this position?
o I would love to serve in this position because I love how the treasurer of the
Student Body is able to meet the needs of the students. While in this position you
are able to interact with students and help them achieve their goals and dreams
academically.
2. Name significant activities, organizations, or work experiences you have taken part in
while at Wartburg College. Briefly describe your personal contribution to each
activity/experience.
o Student Senate: Representing the students of the school and ensuring that their
opinions are heard. I am on the Diversity Committee for Senate and this allows
me, and others, to have a space where can talk about Diversity to bring unity on
campus. I have also been voted onto the Social Chair Committee where we plan
the events for Student Senate and the Student Body.
o Resident Assistant: I am currently the Resident Assistant for Founders Three and
I oversee the wellbeing of the residents. In this role my duties include the
oversight of Clinton, Founders, and Manors residents, planning community
building programs, ensuring safety of the residents, and developing resilience in
both the academic and personal aspects.
o Treasurer for BSU: In this role, I currently manage the financials for the
organization. I also help with the planning of events and the leading of general
member meetings.
o Treasurer for SAFE: In this role, I currently manage the financials for this
organization.
o Internship at Wartburg West: One of the greatest work experiences that I have
had at Wartburg was working at the Ronald McDonald House in Denver
Colorado. While in this internship I was able to see the background of the non-

profit company world that I may be going into after college. I had the amazing
opportunity of working in the business office and in the event planning
department of the Ronald McDonald House. While doing my tasks here, I was
able to integrate some of my major classes into my workforce.
3. Discuss how you plan to balance your commitments (academics, extra-curricular
activities, jobs, etc.) if elected as Student Body Treasurer.
o I have been working on choosing my priorities and putting them in order. This
will be one of the main ways that I will balance my commitments. What this
means to me is that, if elected, I may not be able to be he treasurer for two other
clubs, but that does not mean that I cannot be involved. That also gives someone
else who is just as passionate as me the opportunity to be more involved.
4. What do you see as the treasurer’s most important role?
o I believe that the treasurer’s most important role is being able to meet the
financial needs of the students through the budget that we have. While this is the
most important role, I also believe that the treasurer should also have the ability
and the passion to look at what is happening on campus. For example, he/she
should be able to look into the issues that students are bringing up and see what
they can do to help out from the budget perspective.
5. The Student Senate budget needs to be allocated first and foremost to student needs. As
treasurer, how will you manage the budget and what other goals do you have for this
position?
o I will make sure to always know the claim rates from previous years and to work
on relationships between myself and the organizations that are looking for
funding. I will also make sure to always encourage students and organizations to
come to us if they are having trouble getting to a conference or something that
pertains to their department or club. I plan to give the students the funds that will
meet their needs as well as think of the future for other students.
6. Describe in detail the vision and goals do you have for the future of the Wartburg College
Student Senate, the Student Body, and Wartburg College as a whole?
o Moving forward my vision for Wartburg is to go out into the community and to
expand our views on campus to other places in Iowa and maybe even other states.
What I mean by this is, participating in more conferences, being able to help more
students extend their ideas off-campus and out into the world. I also picture that if
we are able to encourage (and fund) students to reach out, more students will
enroll and will see how interactive we are as a community.
7. What unique qualities and skills would you bring to the position of Treasurer?
o One of my best skills that I believe I can bring to the table is my communication
skills. I am quite the people person and I love listening and communicating
anyone and everyone’s ideas. This will help with the communication that I
mentioned earlier with the organizations on campus.

8. If elected, how will you evaluate your development as an effective servant leader?
o If elected, I plan to prioritize thee student’s needs above all else. Their needs are
first and foremost the objective and goal for Student Senate and especially these
elected positions. These positions are not about us, they are about students and
making sure they have a great experience here at Wartburg. I want the students to
be able to say that they have a great experience outside of campus while here as
well.
