Assembly Theme – RECOGNISING SUCCESS
The whole school has been out and about
this week taking part in a diverse range of
challenges designed to enable students to
discover and develop their talents and
abilities. Our students have demonstrated
awesome teamwork, resilience and
community spirit across the board. At time
of writing, students who have been
commended in particular - although this list
continues to grow by the hour! - are Tyler
Trudgeon, Hermione Crowle, Brodie
Richards.

Highlights so far:
 Our STEM Team won a CREST award at
the University of Exeter’s Big Bang Fair
for enthusiasm and understanding in a
real world context.
 Surf Camp was a massive success.
Darius Nicholls was up and riding the
waves in record time. Aaron Williams
was a huge help setting up the camp.
 Year 7 Band – Tom London, Rees Buzza,
Brandon Lawrence, Mitchell Almond
Geary and Tamara Bridge have blown us
away!
 Work Experience – Destiny Scoles now
reports feeling confident enough to
apply for a part time waitressing job.
Sophie Wilson has been supporting our
School Admin Team and has
demonstrated a really positive attitude
to ‘real life’ work. Sophie also showed
us she can make a mean cup of coffee!
Drum Teacher Wanted
We are looking for a self-employed Drum
Teacher to deliver drum tuition to students
in school from September 2016
3-5 hours per week (flexible)
£20 per hour
