Crouching Tigers
The Crouching Tigers Cub Program introduces children to fundamental martial arts principles as
well as character skills. Each class will incorporate stories, games, activities and positive
reinforcement to build confidence and promote social and motor skills.
The Leadership Class teaches character skills through dynamic, interactive lessons incorporating
martial arts and self-defense. The Students progress in rank from white belt rank to black belt
rank.

Spanish in Action
This class is for children who love Spanish and want a chance “to learn through play”,
Spanish Explorations
This class will give students in grades JK through Grade 1 the opportunity to reinforce listening
and comprehension skills in a creative setting. This class is designed as an extension and
reinforcement of the daily Spanish program. Spanish Explorations will utilize a host of fun
approaches to language learning including:
Songs, games and dance
Videos and Media
Cooking
Hands –on activities / crafts
Integration with other disciplines, including the Arts and Mathematics

Dance Fitness
Dance Fitness is for kids who want to be active and jam out their favorite music.
Dancing to kid-friendly choreography and music helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as
a natural part of children’s lives by making fitness fun. Classes incorporate key childhood development
elements like leadership, respect, team work, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination and
cultural awareness.

Beginning Robotics
Come learn about how to program a Lego robot on the computer through the Mindstorms program.
You will have the opportunity to work with other students to build robots with legos that are
specially designed to be programmed from a computer. You will learn basic coding and write
programs to move your robot through various challenges. If you love building with Legos, enjoy
coding and work with a team, this is the class for you.
Please note* this is an introductory class on Lego robotics and no experience is necessary.

Learning to Sew
Learn how to sew and make your own backpack, pillow and PJ’s.
You will learn how to read a pattern, cut pattern pieces, pin and sew on a sewing machine; learn
about fabric and the parts of the sewing machine.
You will also learn hand stiches to close a seam and sew different types of buttons and mending.
Students will sew a variety of projects starting by making a sewing kit and a drawstring backpack.

Young Makers Lab
Our Young Makers Lab at Park Tudor serves as a space for students to engage in a variety of
hands-on, STEM-focused projects. This class works to empower students to become confident
creators and tinkerers who can design and collaborate on projects they are passionate about.
Over the course of the session, topics we explore will include, coding, origami, duct tape design,
bookmaking, engineering, eletronics, Little Bits, Shero and other Steam ( Science, Technology,
Engineering , Art and Math) Projects. Our last session will give the children the oppurtunity to
share and exhibit their creations. EVERYONE CAN BE A MAKER!

Bricks 4 Kidz
Bricks 4 Kidz- “Gadgets and Gizmos”
Lego Bricks can make some amazing contraptions. This unit is all about the fun of doing something
with what you’ve built. From a spinning top to a spin art model, kids will love playing with their
creations! But don’t worry, we sneak in lots of learning, too- understanding probability in the
“3-in a row” game model and learning about friction and symmetry with the spinning top lesson.

Bricks 4 Kidz- “Things That Go”
Let’s get to work! The younger students will love learning all about vehicles that do work and
the people who operate them. Build a fire truck and rush to the rescue, a tractor to plow the
fields, a bulldozer to push the soil at the construction site, and more! We will learn, laugh, sing
and build. This class uses a combination of Duplo and basic lego bricks.
