Approximate value of compost and other materials received to improve or develop parks = $517,500 (22,500 x $23/yard @ current city rate from EKO). EXCERPT from EKO DRAFT AGREEMENT 10/17/2011 – (Agreement and final terms pending) The following provides information as to what the City will obtain through composting the wood waste. Item D: Using the wood waste material, EKO will produce the following products consistent with the specifications included in Exhibit A: Topdressing compost for existing turf Standard Compost to be blended with soil to form Compost Manufactured Topsoil (CMT) as a bed for initial plant establishment Item E: For every ton of wood waste delivered to EKO, the City will have the right to purchase a 1.5 yards of product described in Item D at the following rates: Topdressing compost for existing turf, $12/cubic yard. Standard compost, $8/cubic yard. Wood-based mulch, $9/cubic yard. The City may inspect the compost and mulch when picked up at the EKO facility. Should the material not meet the specifications in Exhibit A, the City may deny acceptance of the compost or mulch. Item F: The City may request compost or mulch until such time that the total volume of compost or mulch equals the tonnage of wood material provided (assuming 1 ton wood waste produces 1.5 yards of finished compost or mulch). The maximum product amounts provided to the City shall be as follows, unless the City provides EKO with 12 months advanced notice.
