Recording Secretary, Val McKee
• Stacy Dugger called for a motion to approve the July minutes, Jessica Popow
second it. The minutes were approved.
Colts Wear, Nicole Richko
• Nicole Richko received pricing for shirts today.
• She said they plan to sell shorts for the cheerleaders to purchase if they’d like.
• We’ll also sell stadium seating cushions.
• Nicole would like us to purchase drawer bins she proposed at an earlier meeting
to store the Colts Wear. The board said they would discuss further and get back
to her.
Fundraising, Jessica Popow
• We need to vote for Hollywood Park Fundraiser scheduled for Aug. 21, 2016.
Packages cost $16, $21, $31/per person. Nicole Carping made a motion to
choose the $21 package and charge $30/person. Al Crema second that. Jessica
said the even will start around 11:00AM.
• A Vendor Fair at Jacob’s Well was suggested. Stacy Dugger mentioned it’s too
expensive there, about $500 to rent it out. Jessica Popow said she will look into
other venues. Other members suggested Crosswinds Church or the church
across from Cassel school.
• Jessica Popow asked that we approve the sponsorship levels she shared.
Nicole Carping motioned to approve the sponsorship levels. Amy Worley second
the motion and it was approved.
• Jessica also shared an Enforcers Yearbook as an example of what we can
create for our team on a smaller scale.
• Katie Hall emailed the price to purchase the sunglasses. We will order 250. Al
Crema motioned to approve the purchase of sunglasses. Stacy Dugger second
the motion. It was approved.
Registration, Jessica Popow (as of today)
• 67 cheerleaders
• 125 football players.
Volunteer Spot, Stacy Dugger
• Stacy Dugger was reviewing those who have signed up and those who have
not. Katie O’Connor will be helping her to go over all of this.
• She says it looks good though, a lot of our games are almost filled up.
• Al Crema asked if she can finish reviewing it and then let him know if they can
add positions.
• A parent asked if their 16 year-old could complete volunteer hours. He needs
volunteer hours for school and we stated we are more than happy to sign off on
hours that he is willing to help us out with.
Cheerleading, Amy Worley
• Amy Worley separated the Peewees because the parents and coaches felt it
would be more beneficial with the number registered for Peewees. Amy Worley
stated that she called the parents and all were understanding of the situation.
None of them reported to have any issues with it.
• Amy needs a room on August 23rd from 6pm-8pm so the girls can get sized for
their shoes. Nicole Carping will call the field house and arrange this.
• Cheer registrations seemed to go slowly and then many registered at the last
minute.
Football, Al Crema
• We’re at 96 tackle football which is more than last year.
• Al Crema reports that some equipment has come in; he is hoping it’s all in by
tomorrow so all children will have all the equipment they need.
• USA football needs team numbers by next week.
• Background checks are completed by some. Coaches will give their assistant
coaches info today as how to complete background check.
• Aug. 28th first scrimmage in Burbank all levels, including Flag, Flag would begin
at 9:00AM.
• Our jerseys were ordered today. He shared a picture of what they will look like.
Helmets will be getting a decal with our logo on the sides of them. They are less
than $5 per helmet.
• Stacy Dugger asked if we can purchase parents’ versions of jerseys. Al Crema
said yes we can do that, but we’d have to make one order. We’ll just have to
give the parents about 2 weeks notice and it’s their only chance for this year due
to turnaround time of 3-4 weeks.
• Jeanine Haleem asked if we are getting the same flag jerseys as last year. Al
Crema said they will be the same jersey, they just won’t have the attached
velcro flags. We will use belts with flags on them instead.
• Jeanine Haleem wanted to know about the socks the boys will receive. Al
Crema said they will be plain black and cheaper than last year. We will also
have a yellow ribbon on our jersey that signifies ‘Childhood Cancer.’
• Jeanine Haleem also suggested we communicate better and the board agrees
that is what we are trying to do.
New Business, Jessica Popow
• We discussed getting a tablet with a hot spot; we suggested getting a tablet and
start with 2GB of internet. Stacy Dugger motioned to purchase the tablet,
Jessica Popow second the motion, we all agreed.
• Photography contracts were discussed and Tom Killoran Photography seemed
to have the best prices for our needs. Nicole Carping motioned and Amy Worley
second the motion. It was approved that we use Tom Killoran Photography for
our pictures this season.
• Nicole Carping mentioned a purse that her grandmother is making that she
would like to sell for a fundraiser as part of the Colts Wear.
• Karen Goodwill - Karen’s Krochet Korner She would like to know if she can post
a sign with pictures of Colts goods that she makes? The board agreed it would
not be fair to post the sign as other members may want to do the same thing
and where do we draw the line. However, she is welcome walk around the park
at practice and sell her goods.
• We discussed what vendor to purchase Colts Wear from. The board discussed
the fact that Erin kept delaying sharing the quotes for prices. When you look at
the quotes, Mt. Greenwood embroidery is cheaper than Erin which would make
our profit larger. Erin can only come out to Homecoming and Party in the Park,
she will not attend the other games. We may still ask her to come for those days
to personalize. Erin has not been reliable; does not communicate with us very
well. Mt. Greenwood can make hats as well so we can still get those from her.
Nicole Richko asked what we thought about discounting the Colts Wear she
currently has, but the board agrees to just wait on that for now.
• The board will hold a special meeting tomorrow, August 5th at 5:30PM to review
Mt. Greenwood embroidery’s final proposal and make a decision on what
vendor to use for our Colts Wear.
• Saturday, September 10, 2016 will be picture day at MTG park or field house if it
rains.
• Sunday, September 11, 2016 is our first regular season game.
• Weight card pictures will be taken on August 10, 2016 during practice.
• Lisa Haggerty contacted our food vendor and he still plans to follow through on
his contract with us for our 4 home games. He would be willing to make hot
dogs for Party in the Park, but he won’t bring his entire truck of food to sell. It
was recommended that we ask him for all beef hot dogs. We ask that Lisa check
in with our vendor. It was also suggested we call LaPapas and see what they
would charge us since they are a $1.00 regularly. Lisa has GFS gift cards that
we can use to purchase drinks and chips to feed all players and cheerleaders.
Nicole will call LaPapas tomorrow. Stacy said the drawback to this would be that
the adults would have nothing to eat. It saves us a lot of time to talk to our food
vendor about purchasing the children’s meals from them and having parents pay
cash for themselves like last year.
Budget Review - Treasurer, Lisa Haggerty
• Lisa just wanted to make sure everyone knows that she had to distribute refunds
to some families. She submitted them all in one day so it looks like a large
amount, but it’s money we received from them this year.
• Lisa wants everyone to know, she’s paying the bills, but she needs the check
request form submitted from everyone requested payment.
• Jessica Popow motioned to move board meetings to Mondays during football
season. Val McKee second the motion, everyone agrees.
Next board meeting is Monday, September 12, 6:00PM
Adjourned by Nicole Carping at 6:39PM
