In support of Oak Hills High School Senior, Kaitlyn Witt, is currently
working on her Senior Capstone Project to increase awareness, and
hopefully the number of students, that will eventually take a foreign
language. Below is a message from Kaitlyn….
I’m currently working on my Capstone project, which is to promote
awareness about the bilingual advantage. The bilingual advantage is all of
the benefits you receive when you speak two or more languages. These
benefits range from improving health, linguistics, and your economic status.
My main goal for my capstone project is to increase the number of sign-ups
for foreign languages classes for the 2017-2018 school year. I have created
a website, listing all of the various benefits you can receive from learning a
second language. I’m hoping you will take the time to visit my
website, and consider signing up your child for a foreign
language class next year.
