Activities After Day 1 of the Seminar - Friday, May 18
5:45pm - 7:00pm: JUDICIAL RECEPTION AND AWARDS CEREMONY – The FBA will host a reception for
our local Judiciary, Federal Judges and Immigration Judges which will immediately follow the Friday seminar. Join
us for hors d'oeuvres and drinks at the downtown campus for the University of
Memphis School of Law – (4th Floor Gordon Ball Scenic Reading Room.)
6:00pm - 10:00pm: MEMPHIS RIVERBOAT DINNER CRUISE Tour the Mighty Mississippi on a two hour cruise while dining on down home
Southern cooking along with a Chinese buffet. Listen to music from recording artists, Henry Gross and Mike Chapman. There will be a cash bar available. Boarding
and entertainment begins at 6:00pm. The cruise will depart the docks at 8:00 pm

Each year the World Championship Barbeque Cooking Contest entertains visitors from
around the world. In 2011, visitors came from all 50 states and 8 foreign countries.

with the FBA at (www.fedbar.org). Registration fee includes seminar, materials, and lunch. Daily parking will be
available near the Law School at a cost of approximately $10 per day. Limited transportation service may be available
from the conference hotel to the seminar and events. Taxis should be available from the hotel and downtown area.
NOTICE: All registrations are subject to acceptance. Registrations received without proper payment will be returned.
Registrations are not transferable and cannot be split among seminar attendees. Hardship financial scholarships may be
available on a limited basis through the FBA ILS. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received by May 3, 2012, entitles
registrants to a full refund (less $25.00 processing fee). Substitutions may be allowed at the discretion of the FBA. No
cancellation requests will be accepted after May 3, 2012. All cancellation requests must be received in writing.
All licensed Attorneys and their Paralegal/Legal Assistants are welcome to attend. The FBA will request CLE credit for
Tennessee and other states where there have been substantial prior attendees. Attorneys can receive a maximum of up to
14 hours; between 11 – 14 of General and between 0 - 3 Dual (Ethics) in Tennessee (Course # 120053). Participants must
complete an FBA Certificate of Attendance which will be provided to the participant on the day of the CLE course. If your
state is not pre-approved by the FBA then you must submit your Certificate of Attendance to your own state for CLE credit. Each session may be professionally recorded for distribution in an MP3 or CD format at the discretion of the FBA.
Attorney CLE Registration fees range between $400-$500 in advance of the event if paid prior to April 1, 2012. After that
date or at the door, Attorney CLE registration fees range between $450-$600 per Attorney. Paralegals are welcome and
may register at a rate between $225-$400 per Paralegal/Legal Assistant of Licensed Attorney. Pro Bono or Non Profit Attorneys and Staff have a special flat rate of $200-$400 (with proof of certain pro bono obligations). Government Employee may register at a rate between $200 - $300. A limited number of Federal CJA Panel members and Federal Public
Defenders can attend at no charge, after applying for a fee waiver in writing with WD-TN Federal Court Clerk,
Tom Gould @ 167 N. Main Street, Room 200, Memphis, TN 38103 by April 1, 2012. Other FBA ILS scholarships
may be available in extraordinary circumstances where appropriate financial hardship is demonstrated.
