Why change the uniform? To give a uniformity

Why change the uniform?
To give a uniformity amongst the students across the academies. We are no
longer 2 separate schools and we are proud to belong under the UL umbrella
and want our uniform to reflect this.
Why the UL branding?
A smart and universal look for all students with a good quality bespoke uniform.
A change to our out dated uniform was overdue and colours needed to be
streamlined across the academies.
What does this uniform offer?
Quality, smartness, cost effective, universal belonging, recognised in the
community.
What are the benefits?
Good quality & durable fabrics to withstand day in/day out wear. All machine
washable. Trousers and skirts are waistband adjustable. Generous hems and
seams. Fully lined blazers with 2 inside pockets – 1 zipped for locker key/money.
Where do we get the uniform?
We are holding sizing and collection days in the summer holidays for the new
year 7 cohort in September. Sizing is 14 July evening event from 6-8pm and 20
& 21 July and collection 20 August in the Jon Egging Hall from 10-4pm on these
days.
Sports kit and additional items may be ordered online at Price & Buckland – this
is currently a demo site but will be up and running and linked to our website
soon. www.pbparentsonline.co.uk/test This is due to go live 23 July.

What if we can’t make those dates?
We will order plenty of stocks in various sizes and will endeavour to work with
you on obtaining items before the start of school on Sept 3rd.
Where do we buy the shirts?
White shirts may be bought in a range of shops and supermarkets. Boys will be
required to wear standard white cotton shirts with either long or short sleeves.
Girls will be required to wear white cotton open necked shirts in either long or
short sleeved. However, long sleeves will NOT be permitted to be rolled up.
What about girls leg wear?
Girls may wear tights in either black, navy or flesh colours. They may also wear
white ankle socks if they wish at any time of the year. Long socks are not
permitted or part of the uniform look in order to prevent them being worn as
over the knee socks.
Do students have to wear a jumper?
No. Jumpers are an optional item which can be purchased separately.
However, they must be part of the uniform range and purchased through Price
and Buckland with the Academies logo.
What does each item cost?
Uniform prices from: Blazers: £24.95, Boys & girls trousers £15, Bedford Check
skirt: £16, Jumpers £18, Tie £3. Please note all skirts and trousers come in short,
regular and long length and uniform prices are size dependant.
What do we get for free?
Boys will receive a blazer, branded trousers and a tie. Girls will receive a blazer,
branded trousers OR a skirt.
