The World’s First, One-Of-A-Kind, Six-Story Ride “Alien Chaser”
Spring, Texas (January 23, 2017) – The owners of Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown are pleased to announce the
addition of Alien Chaser, another new, one of a kind attraction for guests visiting the park this summer. The sixstory tall two person slalom, drop and dive tube slide literally towers over the park at 60-feet high and draws
attention from across the 80 acre park with its vibrant purple and black slides with alien themed saucers.
“We are looking forward to introducing this one-of-a-kind ride to Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown,” said Wet ‘n’ Wild
SplashTown Houston General Manager Jody Kneupper, “There is no other slide like this in Texas and we can’t
wait to bring this new, innovative ride to Houston. It will certainly add some out of this world thrills to Houston
this summer!”
The pulse of this 429 foot long attraction, appropriately dubbed “Alien Chaser”, stands a skyscraping 60’ tall
and takes thrill-seekers on two-person tubes that speed through dark tunnels and rocket into the wide-open
expanse of massive saucers. Moving at lightning speed, the tubes are banked high up on the wall, glued by
centrifugal force. The steep angle of the saucers creates a ‘drop-and-dive’ sensation as rider’s race along
its edge.
In 2014, the park underwent a $20 million dollar transformation and became part of the Wet ‘N’ Wild brand.
Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown is considered one of the biggest and best waterparks in the U.S. The addition of
“Alien Chaser” will provide unique thrills for guests of all ages and continue the park’s commitment to remain
the best waterpark in the Houston area.
Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown, will open to the general public on Saturday, May 6th for weekends only and will be
open every day beginning May 26. Wet ‘n’ Wild SplashTown season passes are the most affordable water
