the ”strange” ways of the lord

THE ”STRANGE” WAYS OF THE LORD
The previous Sundays Xandré ministered on understanding
this day, day 7 and day 3, and all it’s antitypes and hidden truths.
Then Thys ministered on the sons of this day, the Christs of GOD.
Both of them explained and revealed the plan of GOD with the new
creation, with new creatures (a spiritual one according to 2Cor 5:17)
I want to focus on the “strangeness” or the “unfamiliar” ways
of GOD throughout the ages, even in this day.
Strange
adjective
1.
unusual or surprising; difficult to understand or explain.
synonyms: unusual, odd, curious, peculiar, funny, bizarre, weird, uncanny, queer,
unexpected, unfamiliar, abnormal, untypical, different, out of the ordinary, out of the
way, extraordinary, remarkable, puzzling, mystifying, mysterious, perplexing, baffling,
unaccountable, uncommon, irregular.
2.
not previously visited, seen, or encountered; unfamiliar or alien.
synonyms: unfamiliar, unknown, new, alien, not previously encountered
Why is it that this day and it’s way seems to be “strange” ?
… because of a different knowledge.
Gen 2:16-17
(16) And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden
may freely eat;
(17) but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the
day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

• Man was not allowed to eat of the tree of knowledge.
• We were never supposed to have a different knowledge than that
of GOD.
• Eating of that tree brought knowledge of both good and evil.
• This knowledge affected our minds, our way of thinking and
reasoning which resulted into a different “glory”…view,
judgement and opinion of things.
• This knowledge also brought death into the earth, death to man
and to the plan of GOD.
• The ways of the LORD would now be strange to man… this
should never have happened!
1Cor 1:21
(NAV) Dit was die bedoeling van God in sy wysheid dat die wêreld nie deur
geleerdheid tot kennis van God sou kom nie.
(ESV) For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it
pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.
(GNB) For God in his wisdom made it impossible for people to know him by means of
their own wisdom. Instead, by means of the so-called "foolish" message we preach,
God decided to save those who believe.
(ISV) For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know God,
God decided through the nonsense of our preaching to save those who believe.
(MSG) Since the world in all its fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to
knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world
considered dumb—preaching…
1Cor 1:21-30
(21) For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it
pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who
believe.
(22) For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; (man always want GOD to
meet them on their terms)
(23) but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks
foolishness,
(24) but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and
the wisdom of God.
(25) Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is
stronger than men.
(26) For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not
many mighty, not many noble, are called.
(27)But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise , and
God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things
which are mighty;
(28) and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has
chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,
(29) that no flesh should glory in His presence.
(30) But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and
righteousness and sanctification and redemption.
Let’s look into the “strange” or unfamiliar ways of the LORD…
1. In the days of the Old Testament
2. In the days of the new Testament
3. In this day, the day of the Kingdom of God, Day 7
Isa 28:21 For the Lord will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be angry as in the
Valley of Gibeon-- That He may do His work, His awesome work, And bring to pass His
act, His unusual act.
The “unusual acts” or ”strange” ways of the LORD in the days of
the Old Testament
Ex 3:1-2
(1) Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And
he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
(2) And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush.
So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.
2Kings 6:5 But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron axe head fell into the water; and
he cried out and said, "Alas, master! For it was borrowed."
(:6) So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut
off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.
(:7) Therefore he said, "Pick it up for yourself." So he reached out his
hand and took it.
2Kings 5:9-14
(9) Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the door of Elisha's
house.
(10) And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go and wash in the Jordan seven
times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean."
(11) But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, "Indeed, I said to myself,
'He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God,
and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.'
(12) Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the
waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away
in a rage.
(13) And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, "My father, if the prophet
had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then,
when he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?"
(14) So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according
to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh
of a little child, and he was clean.
Judg 7:5 So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said
to Gideon, "Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog
laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on
his knees to drink."
Ezek 4:4-6
(4) "Lie also on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it.
According to the number of the days that you lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.
(5) For I have laid on you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the
days, three hundred and ninety days; so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of
Israel.
(6) And when you have completed them, lie again on your right side; then you shall
bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days. I have laid on you a day for each
year.
Hos 1:2-4
(2) When the Lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea: "Go, take yourself a
wife of harlotry (KJV - whoredomes) And children of harlotry, For the land has
committed great harlotry By departing from the Lord."
(3) So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore
him a son.
(4) Then the Lord said to him: "Call his name Jezreel, For in a little while I will avenge
bloodshed of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, And bring an end to the kingdom of the
house of Israel.
The ”strange” ways of the LORD in the days of the New Testament
Mark 7:32-35
(32) Then they brought to Him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his
speech, and they begged Him to put His hand on him.
(33) And He took him aside from the multitude, and put His fingers in his ears, and He
spat and touched his tongue.
(34) Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, "Ephphatha," that is, "Be
opened."
(35) Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed,
and he spoke plainly.
Mar 8:23-25
(23) So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He
had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.
(24) And he looked up and said, "I see men like trees, walking."
(25) Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was
restored and saw everyone clearly.
Joh 9:6-7
(6) When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the
saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.
(7) And He said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which is translated, Sent). So
he went and washed, and came back seeing.
Act 2:1-3
(1) When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one
place.
(2) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and
it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
(3) Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of
them.
Acts 5:14-15
(14) And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and
women,
(15) so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and
couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.
Acts 19:11-12
(11) Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,
(12) so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and
the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.
The strange ways of the LORD in this day, DAY 7
Hebr 1:1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the
fathers by the prophets,
(:2) has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of
all things (Gal 4:1 -2)
Gal 4
(:1) Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a
servant, though he be lord of all;
:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
It is important to understand that in this last day GOD speaks and
works through HIS sons/ Christs (not through HIS children)
Sons of GOD are those who matured to sonship through the
discipline and instruction of tutors and governors, and are
appointed by their FATHER
…those who understand the ways of the LORD and have the mind
of a Christ
1Cor 2:16 For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we
have the mind of Christ. (mind = the same view, judgement and opinion)
1Cor 2:4-16
(4) And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human
wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
(5) that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
(6) However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of
this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
(7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God
ordained before the ages for our glory,
(8) which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have
crucified the Lord of glory.
(9) But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the
heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
(10) But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all
things, yes, the deep things of God.
(11) For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in
him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
(12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from
God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
(13) These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but
which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
(14) But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are
foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(15) But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
(16) For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we
have the mind of Christ.
1Thes 5:1-15
(1) But concerning the times (chronos) and the seasons (kairos), brethren, you have no
need that I should write to you.
(Luke 12:54-56 Then He also said to the multitudes, "Whenever you see a cloud rising
out of the west, immediately you say, 'A shower is coming'; and so it is. And when you
see the south wind blow, you say, 'There will be hot weather'; and there is.
Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do
not discern this time?)
(2) For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord (day 7) so comes as a thief
in the night.
(3) For when they (religion) say, "Peace (prosperity) and safety!(security)" then sudden
destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall
not escape.
(4) But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day (day 7) should overtake you
as a thief.
(5) You are all sons of light (2014) and sons of the day. We are not of
the night nor of darkness.
You are all sons of light (2014) and sons of the day. We are
not of the night nor of darkness.

Born in Eisleben, Germany, in 1483, Martin Luther went on
to become one of Western history’s most significant
figures. Luther spent his early years in relative anonymity
as a monk and scholar. But in 1517 Luther penned a
document attacking the Catholic Church’s corrupt practice
of selling “indulgences” to absolve sin. His “95 Theses,”
which propounded two central beliefs—that the Bible is the central religious authority
and that humans may reach salvation only by their faith and not by their deeds—was to
spark the Protestant Reformation. Although these ideas had been advanced before,
Martin Luther codified them at a moment in history ripe for religious reformation. The
Catholic Church was ever after divided, and the Protestantism that soon emerged was
shaped by Luther’s ideas. His writings changed the course of religious and cultural
history in the West.

Prayer meetings were spontaneously organized every evening after that.
The order of these meetings was usually the same each time, although no
one set it. At the beginning there was generally great silence; no efforts
were made to stir up emotions, but after the second or third prayer the
gathering would suddenly begin to simultaneously cry out in prayer. This
was definitely not the custom of the Dutch Reformed churches at that time, nor did
anyone ever teach them to do this. Sometimes the gathering would continue until three
in the morning; even then, many wished to stay longer.
The revival shook the entire countryside. The young and old, rich and poor, blacks and
whites were all equally affected by the revival. "It was quite amazing that the awakening
was not confined to the towns and villages, but felt in totally isolated places without
outside contacts, even on remote farms, where men and women were suddenly seized
with emotions to which they had been utter strangers a few weeks or even days
People were frequently gripped with intense conviction. Strong men cried
out in anguish while others fell to the ground unconscious and had to be
carried out of the meetings.

To read the newspapers in 1906, one might have wondered about all the excitement in
old building on Azusa Street in the industrial part of the city. According to the Los Angeles
Times, a bizarre new religious sect had started with people “breathing strange
utterances and mouthing a creed which it would seem no sane mortal could understand.”
Furthermore, “Devotees of the weird doctrine practice the most fanatical rites, preach
the wildest theories, and work themselves into a state of mad excitement.”
If that didn't grab the reader's attention, the article continued by saying that, “Coloured
people and a sprinkling of whites compose the congregation, and night is made hideous
in the neighbourhood by the howling of the worshippers who spend hours swaying forth
and back in a nerve-racking attitude of prayer and supplication.” To top it all off, they
claimed to have received the “gift of tongues,” and what's more, “comprehend the
babel.”

• John G Lake
John G. Lake, was a Canadian-American leader in the Pentecostal
movement that began in the early 20th century, and is known as a
faith healer, missionary, and with Thomas Hezmalhalch, co-founder of
the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM/ AGS) of South Africa. Through his
1908–13 African missionary work, Lake played a decisive role in the
spread of Pentecostalism in South Africa, the most successful southern
African religious movement of the 20th century
Lake's ministry in South Africa was not without controversy. Morton wrote that Lake
was accused of: misappropriating the AFM's funds, particularly that funds did not flow
to poor rural areas but were concentrated with Lake and his party; acting dictatorially;
exaggerating the effectiveness of the revival movement he led; and staging miraculous
healings through audience plants. He also wrote that "an analysis of the missionary
career of John G Lake shows that the initial spread of Pentecostalism in
southern Africa was facilitated by the systematic use of fraud
and deception."

Although I could find no information of Rassie Erasmus on the Internet except
for some video material on YouTube, Rassie played a vital role in the early years of
Revival in South Africa since the days of John G Lake.
When Rassie died, Nicky van der Westhuizen spent some time in prayer on
the Erasmus family farm, Mooi Hawens, where he apparently had a supernatural
encounter with GOD that led to the beginning of his Evangelical ministry, taking
over from Rassie Erasmus.
• Nicky v d Westhuizen
The same was true regarding Evangelist Nicky van der Westhuizen. By
reading newspapers one would have thought that he was some cult
leader with access to vast stashes of cash. I must say that I do not
have any inside information about Brother Nicky's financial status, so I
must rely on my own perception and am open to be corrected in this
regard. It is my opinion that Nicky was never a rich man. Although
Brother Nicky would at times preach and teach that God would supply
in all His people’s needs, and although the Lord clearly did some great
financial miracles for him and for his ministry (such as when his tent
was paid for and when that huge sound system was purchased for his ministry,) I do not
think he was ever well off.
At Nicky’s grave prayer after prayer was offered to God. Several brethren operated
the gift of prophecy, declaring things such as revival that would still come to South
Africa.
The night Nicky van der Westhuizen died in a car accident, he said to the
Pastor where he ministered that evening that GOD showed him things that would
happen in the Church in South Africa and that he feels he need to share it with him
before it’s to late.

1983 (the year Xandré was born) –At the First National Convention of the Full

in Port Harcourt
Pastor S. G. Elton spoke prophetically in this meeting concerning two key African
nations, saying that Africa is like a gun pointed down. Its turret and muzzle is South
Africa. Its trigger is Nigeria. He said the days would come when Apartheid (then at
its peak in South Africa) will be removed from South Africa. In those days, he said the
Gun of Africa would begin to fire for God’s purpose.
On 12 September 2014 Xandré appointed the first leadership/ Priestly Order of CiMI.
ON 13 September 2014 during a Word school session with these leaders he
supernaturally stopped teaching and uttered a prophesy saying GOD
says that the trigger in Nigeria was pulled, the gun has fired.

(6) Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

drunk at night.
(8) But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love,
