Please consider donating one can of food, or other nonperishable food item, for each day of Lent. Food collected will benefit food banks in Carroll and Haralson Counties. The collection bin is located inside Carroll Center. Cardboard Campout – The youth of our parish will be having a “cardboard campout retreat” Palm Sunday weekend and will be fasting all day that Saturday. We will be preparing a very early breakfast for them Sunday, Mar 24 so they can attend 8:30 Palm Sunday Mass. If you can get up early and help please contact Chuck Klug at 770-83-9179 or sign up at the meeting Monday night. Meeting Meals – While it’s nice to sit and have a meal with your brothers before a meeting the council is not supposed to pick up the tab. So far income for meals has averages $1.92 per person. Think about it, you can’t eat what’s being served anywhere for just $1.92. We need to average $3.00 per person, or have a fundraiser, to cover our meal expenses. If you choke a Smurf what color does he turn? Degrees – The 8:30 and 11:00 Masses look to have a number of Catholic men (they have been seen to go up for Communion) who don’t appear to be members of our Council. Don’t you think they deserve to be asked to join us? Form 100s are in the drawer of the desk at the back of the church. Give any completed Form 100s to the Grand Knight or to Mike Barrett at 678-404-1745 or [email protected]. ROMEO Club – The decision has been made to be consistent with the meeting dates, times, and places. That way if we can’t remember, our wives will know what day of the month it is and kick us out the door to get some peace. So, beginning with March, the meetings will be held on the 4th Wednesday, 9:00am, at Jerry’s Country Kitchen in Carrollton. Golf Tournament – Not much time left until our tournament on April 5th so ask a business you deal with if they would sponsor a hole or donate a prize. This is our biggest fundraiser. Forms are on the council website so print what you need. Questions? Contact Allen Katen at 770-836-8207 or at [email protected]. Social Dinner – Pizza, pizza. The gang that gathered at American Pie Pizza enjoyed another fun evening of family fun and of course good food last month. If you didn’t make it plan to join us this month at M&J on Wednesday, March 20th at 6:00pm. Invite a friend and his wife to join us. Contact our Grand Knight for more information on how to become a Knight.
