Job description
Performing cleaning procedures daily in guest rooms to include changing linens, dusting,
cleaning stool, tub/shower, sinks and mirror. Vacuuming and spot cleaning carpeted floors;
washing bathroom floors daily. Wiping vanity drawers, cleaning windows, vacuuming drapes,
and performing other cleaning duties on a periodic scheduled basis. Restocking housekeeping
carts daily with supplies, linen/terry and cleaning supplies as specified. Shampooing carpets and
vacuuming hallways. Restocking linen rooms with linens, soap, shampoo etc. Cleaning
windows. Assisting housekeepers by removing trash and linens from carts. Visually inspects
linens and terry for wear and tear and stains. Sorting all laundry after removing from laundry
chute. Operating the washer and dryer according to established procedures. Folding and
counting terry/linen and placing on proper shelves for storage. Other duties as assigned by your
supervisor.

thoroughly after breakfast hours. Emptying all trash and ashtrays from each floor. Cleaning ice
machines on each floor. Cleaning parking lot, sidewalks and dumpster areas. Cleaning front
desk area at a time when there is no heavy traffic. Stocking all housekeeping supplies at the

Preparing breakfast by stocking the serving areas before the serving hours: including making
coffee, and may include slicing fruit, mixing juice, cooking, stocking pastry trays, etc. During
breakfast serving hours, maintaining the serving areas by restocking as needed; cleaning
counters and tables as needed. Breaking down the serving line, conducting weekly cleaning
duties, washing dishes, performing other duties as required or assigned. In order to ensure that
you receive enough hours, you will need to be willing to work in other departments of the hotel
as well. This may include working as a laundry attendant, a housekeeper and/or a house person.
