JJCO Paper of the Year and Highly Commended
Paper
Paper of the Year: Dr Kakizoe (l; Editor-in-Chief ) and
Dr Horibe.
Among the 125 original papers published in 2014, the Editorial Board
selected the following papers for the awards announced on 9th October, 2015 at the JJCO 29th Editorial Meeting held at the 74th Annual
Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association, Nagoya, Japan. The Editorial Board members and Oxford University Press congratulate the
authors for their excellent papers and hope that they will continue
to submit their finest work to the Japanese Journal of Clinical
Oncology.
The Paper of the Year 2015 was awarded to:

NOMINATION PROCEDURE
(i) Among 125 original articles published in issues No.1 to No.12 of
volume 44, Oxford University Press listed the top 10 papers with
the highest number of internet downloads of their HTML and
PDF versions during the first 6 months after publication online.
At the same time, Associate Editors nominated the best papers
that were published in the volume. In total, 39 papers were
nominated.
(ii) Associate Editors voted on up to three best papers from the nominated 39. The eight papers with the highest number of votes were
selected for final evaluation.
(iii) The Editor-in-Chief and Editors selected the final winner and
the highly commended author from the eight papers selected in
Step 2.
The purpose of these awards is to promote excellence in clinical oncology research, and to honor outstanding papers published in Japanese
Journal of Clinical Oncology.
