Seasoned Citizens:
Seasoned Citizens had our Christmas Dinner and party
December 8th with a ham dinner followed by a gift exchange.
We will not meet in January!
Voters’ Meeting: We met on December 13, 2016, Dwight
McNally read through the proposed budget needs for the
2017 year. The proposed budget for 2017 was presented to
the voters’ and was passed in the amount of $575,928.00.
Thank You! I want to thank you all very much for all the
kindness you have shown with your cards and prayers. A
very special thank you to Pastor Hessler for your visits and
prayers during my health concerns. Sincerely, Kate Pavlicek
Spring 2017 FAITH’s trip to Creation Museum and The
Ark: We will be leaving Sunday, March 26 and returning
Tuesday, March 28th. Watch Faithlines and the Welcome
Counter for latest information and a signup sheet.
May 2017 "Faith's Got Talent" Show....do you have an
idea of a THEME? If you do, let us know! Last year was a

INTRODUCING MEMBERS OF FAITH
William and Sandra (nee Gubbins) Stroup were married on
June 14th, 1980 at St. James Lutheran in Saginaw. They chose
June 14th for their wedding day because it was on that day Sandy
was baptized in 1959. These are two very important days in their
life. Bill was born in Howell and Sandy in Saginaw. Their
marriage is blessed with two children, Roxanne, age 34, and
Joseph, age 32. They also have three grandchildren: Jayden
(JJ) age 8, Janyia (NyNy) age 7, and Brayln, age 7. Their children
and grandchildren recently moved to Florida and Tennessee.
Bill and Sandy belonged to St. James Lutheran in Saginaw until it
closed in 2006 when they transferred to FAITH. Bill has served at
FAITH as an Elder and was a member of the Property and
Finance Board. He gave up these positions when his employment
required working third shift. Bill felt in his heart that he wasn’t able
to give the attention and service required. Sandy has served on
the Women of FAITH board. She is currently serving as a
member of our Altar Guild. Both Bill and Sandy help on making
lunches for the Rescue Mission and helping with VBS. They also
served on Highway Clean-up and the annual spring cleaning of
our church.
Bill has been employed hanging dry-wall, driving truck, operating
heavy machinery, laser etching at Orchid Unique. He is currently
a metallurgist assistant at Nexteer. Sandy retired after 30 years at
ATT when her office in Flint closed. She has worked seasonally
at Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland for the past 7 seven years.
Bill enjoys hunting and fishing and Sandy enjoys reading. They
both like to do garden and yard work.
To Sandy, God means
that she has a FRIEND
since birth Who stays with
her every minute of every
day. Her desire for FAITH
is that our children/youth
attendance will increase.
They are the future of
our church.
