Mrs. McGowan’s Sixth Grade Homeroom’s
Favorite Holiday Traditions:
Owen
Casler:
The best part about my
Christmas is that I get to
spend it with my family
every year (even though
my little brother drives me
crazy. I love him anyway.).
I will love my family
always.
Mercedes Charland:
Every Christmas eve for
dinner my family and I eat
fried chicken and macaroni
and cheese. Then we track
Santa on a website.
Camille
Cuttaia:
We always make cookies
on Christmas Eve and we
bring them to Grandma and
Grandpa’s house. We go to
their house every year, and
that is really fun.
Aiden Dattoma: My
favorite holiday tradition is
going to my grandmother’s
house to open extra
presents.
Henry Denis: I put
up a Christmas tree and
bake cookies for Santa. I
also put out carrots for the
reindeer.
Morgan
Dewyea:
My
grandma
hangs
little puppets on the
chandelier and she puts one
Hershey’s kiss in each one.
Throughout the month of
December, each night after
dinner we get to take a
Hershey’s kiss!
Ryan Gaff: I like
to wake up at 6:00 A.M.,
wake Mom up, beg her to
get up, then open presents.
Connor Garvey: My
favorite holiday tradition
is to have a Madden 15
tournament
with
my
brother Casey, my friends,
and my stepdad Phil. Then
I eat with my family.
Johnathan Jauron:
On Christmas day we open
presents together.
Shane Jessie: My
favorite part of Christmas is
that my family comes over
to celebrate by opening
gifts and eating together.
Ruby LaDue: Every
Christmas eve we go to my
grandma’s house and so
does the rest of my family.
Then every Christmas
morning my aunts make
monkey bread, which is
like a giant cinnamon roll.
Then we eat before we
open presents.
J a d e - L y n n
McCottery: One of my
family traditions is when
my brother, my sister, and
I go to my grandma’s house
and open presents. Then
we go back to my house
and we open presents in
my living room. Then we
eat food (we make little
biscuits with M&Ms). Braedon McFaul: I
open a present on Christmas
eve, and my family come
over for Christmas day
every year. Every year we
exchange gifts with each
other and open them. Maia Polzella: Every
Christmas, Amelia, Reese,
and I wake up early in the
morning. We get up and get
Jenn and Stacey up, and
then we all ask if we can
go to the living room and
open up our presents. After
we are done we go to our
rooms and put everything
away. Then we play with
them and open our boxes,
while Jenn and Stacey go
back to bed.
Carter Riley:
I
decorate the tree with
Mom, my stepdad, and
Maddy. We use the same
ornaments each year. It’s
lots of fun.
Beckett
Savage:
Every Christmas Eve, my
whole family comes to
our house for a big party.
We all open one gift, and
we have a long running
streak of at least one person
coincidentally opening a
present full of socks.
Nolan Savage: On
Christmas Eve, my family
and I always bake and
set up cookies and milk
for Santa. We also set up
carrots and some reindeer
food for the reindeer. We
wake up on Christmas day,
and then go to the library
in our house to exchange
presents. Then we leave
to go to my nana’s house
to exchange gifts with our
cousins.
Emileigh Smith: My
favorite holiday tradition
is trying to find the pickle
ornament on Christmas
morning.
The pickle
ornament decides who gets
to open the first present.
Your mother or father hides
the pickle on Christmas
Eve, and the first one to
find it gets to open the first
present.
Trista
Strader:
Every Christmas Eve my
family and I go to Grandma
Sandy’s house. All of the
kids go in the other room
while the adults hide our
Christmas pickle. When
they are done, we come in
and look for the pickle on
the tree. The first one to
find it gets an extra present!
To make it fair, each one of
us gets an extra present.
Leah Whalen: My
favorite holiday tradition
is making cookies with
my mom and sisters, and
then decorating them with
frosting and sprinkles.
Finally, we get to eat them
after they are cool.
Not everyone was happy at the recent lunch with Santa.

8th Anniversary
It’s time for me to go now...I won’t say goodbye.
Look for me in Rainbows...way up in the sky.
In the morning sunrise when all the world is new
Just look for me and love me
As you know I loved all of you.
Time for me to leave you....I won’t say goodbye
Look for me in Rainbows...High above the sky.
It won’t be forever....the day will come and then
My loving arms will hold you all, when we meet again.
Every waking moment and all your whole life through
Just look for me and love me as you know I loved all of you.
Just wish me to be near you and I will be there with you.
Love Chad
