Mile High Chapter - 2015 is shaping up to be an incredible year here in the Mile High City. The
leadership team set goals for 2015 which include the following:
1. Increase Realtor Members. As of March 31st, we have 3 new Realtor members.
2. Intentional Networking. The activity of networking and getting to know each other is valuable to all,
whether it’s getting to know a new mentor, affiliate partner, or another Realtor….we have the best
resources!
3. Community Involvement. We have our 1st Day of Serviced planned for May 20th at the Delores
Project. Delores Project only serves women and provides a sense of safety and community that is often
not found at other overnight shelters. We will also contribute a portion of our fund raising efforts to
non-profit organizations near and dear to us and the communities we serve.
4. Member Value. We do our absolute best to provide timely and educational programs that add
value to us personally and professionally. For example, our April program is Slaying Godzillow, How to
Fight and Win Against the Syndicators, along with a Syndication update from REColorado.
We were honored to have Kay Watson update us on RPAC in March and have challenged all of our
members to contribute.
Our Programming & Education Chair, Amy Zukowski, has kicked off our year with a Market Update, How
to Be Awesome, Tax Tips, and Mold Meth & Marijuana. Each month is incredibly educational and we’re
better for it!
Kathleen Ziegler and Coey Howe, our dynamic duo, are introducing new Fun Raising events starting with
the Super Star Service Auction, and Day of Service in May. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to
the Freedom Service Dogs. Founded in 1987, Freedom Service Dogs is a nonprofit organization that
enhances the lives of people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and custom training them for individual
client needs, and has been matching dogs with veterans successfully for 26 years. We’re all looking
forward to our first Day of Service May 20th.
We’ve taken Intentional Networking to heart thanks to Kathleen Aspeslagh, our Chapter Secretary and
Soni Walker, an incredible and committed Affiliate member. Each month they present a new activity for
our members to reach out and meet someone new.
The Mile High Chapter is committed to video, and we’ve implemented our Speaker Series “Top 3 Take-AWays”. After each program our phenomenal photographer, Carol Grape, shoots a 30 second video of
the monthly speaker with their “Top 3 Take-A-Ways”. Plans are taking shape for our first Mile High
Chapter video/movie which we plan to use in our Membership Recruiting.
Want to talk about Social Media? We’re so thankful to have our REColorado Representative, Jamie
Richards, in charge. She keeps us moving forward with the social world and has just about doubled our
“Likes” in the world of Facebook.
Membership is a year-long plan for us in the Mile High City as we work to significantly increase our
membership!
Thank you for allowing us to remain a part of CAR. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Spring
Meetings and also up in Keystone for the CAR Convention.
