In January and July, Marilyn travels to Atlanta, GA for her annual buying trip to America’s
Gift Mart. When the day gets long and her feet ache, she rests at her favorite
bookstore called: Common Ground. She will read each book prior to purchasing it.
Must be the “teacher” in her. We invite you to add these unique children’s books to your
family’s library. Each book is filled with messages celebrating the season of Spring.

Joe’s Basket Days - Record Setting Temps
Our 6th annual Joe’s Basket Days took place during four days in
early March. It was great seeing everyone & enjoying the warmth
of the greenhouses (75 degrees). The temperature outside was
65 degrees the first weekend, then 30 degrees a weekend later.
Only in MN. The baskets and containers you planted will receive
lots of tender loving care with daily watering, fertilizing and

grandmas grew. My paternal grandma had a
big veggie garden and at one end, she had
the most beautiful flowers. She would cut and
enjoy them in her home. My maternal grandma had a very large assortment of house
plants in her sitting room. These memories of
my grandmas’ love of gardening and plants
inspired my passion for working with flowers. Everyday
I’m lucky to be designing floral arrangements for families
and friends. This Spring start creating memories. I enjoy
digging in my garden with my granddaughter, Adriana.
We’re getting our hands dirty and creating memories.

Fairy Imagination Garden Class
You don’t need to believe in fairies to have a fairy
garden in your home, although it couldn’t hurt.
Children and adults alike will delight in caring for
these miniature gardens brimming with charm.
These little scenes create a sense of whimsical
magic and are essential for attracting those little
elusive fairies to your home. You will design your
fairy garden in a 12” by 12” wooden box, with
four miniature plants, gravel, moss and
fairy or gnome accent. Many unique fairy
accessories will be available to purchase.

Mosaic Garden Art Create your very own styled indoor
or outdoor piece. Start simple or create a masterpiece on a
unique repurposed base of vases, plates and unique objects.

using a variety of colored glass pebbles and stones
June 10, 10:30 -11:30 am - grout and finish your piece
Come get a sneak peak at the artwork and what the classes
will entail. The artists, Janie and Marlene, will have the
mosaic garden art pieces and other items on display during
our Spring Open House. Visit with them to create your own
