How to Correct a Word or Phrase in Dragon
This training method is especially useful for small words like is, an, in, and our, and
teaches Dragon the context of the word, as well as the pronunciation.
When Dragon transcribes an incorrect word:

Place the cursor next to or within the word. You may use the mouse *or* say “insert
before/after <word>”

Say “Correct That.” This will display your entire utterance.

If the phrase you want is listed, click or say “Choose #”

If the phrase you want is not listed, click or say “Spell That.” This will display your utterance
in an editing window. Make corrections, then choose either Train or OK.

BEST PRACTICE is to say “EXIT DRAGON” when you are finished using Dragon or when
you walk away from your PC.
If you leave Dragon open for long periods of time, risking auto-log off, BE SURE TO SAY
“SAVE DRAGON” from time to time.
REMEMBER: When Dragon auto-logs off, all new training and new voice recognition files are
LOST.
Exit Dragon and Save User Profile can also be found under the Profile heading on the Dragon
Toolbar.
