Vertical Method: Stack the binomials on top of each other, multiply the top binomial times each term of the bottom binomial. Be sure to use a placeholder! Add the columns of like terms together.
FOIL Method: Multiply the FIRST term of each binomial together, then the two OUTER terms, then the two INNER terms, and last the LAST terms of each binomial. Be sure to add your like terms together!
