Lubra-Glide® Beads …
Outstanding Mechanical Lubricity
The technology behind Lubra-Glide® CE Co-Polymer Beads is based on sever al per for mance factor s.
Stand-off in the well bore not only reduces friction and torque issues, but significantly minimizes the
potential for stuck drill pipe. Due to the spherical nature of Lubra-Glide® beads, the ability to absorb
impact, aid rotation, and provide stand-off are the key ingredients for reducing casing wear and friction
issues inside cased holes. The resistance to deformation or breaking is critical to continued performance
while the beads remain in the drilling fluid. The lightweight, 1.06 specific gravity (SG) of the co-polymer
beads allows for a better distribution and suspension throughout the drilling fluid where they are needed,
rather than just the low side of the hole where they will co-mingle with cuttings beds as heavier glass and ceramic beads would.
Glass or ceramic beads are brittle, often not spherical and can easily split or break due to their low impact resistance, whereby they
will incorporate into the drilling fluid as unwanted abrasive solids increasing torque, drag, and casing wear problems.

SunBurst DP™ (Dual Phase) is a spherical functionalized co-polymer bead with special lubricants which are delivered specifically
to the point where the friction is greatest at the time when it is needed most. This results in instant mechanical stand-off at low
pressure, with micro-channels designed to release the infused liquid lubricants at a higher impact pressure. This one-sack,
AMERICAN MADE, fit-for-purpose engineered product, SunBurst DP™ combines mechanical, ball-bearing stand-off, while
simultaneously releasing specialized liquid lubricants, which synergistically provides a very effective and economic solution to
torque and drag, while improving ROP either sliding or rotating.

Resilient Graphite to Improve Downhole Conditions
SUN Resi-Flex® is a proprietary highly durable synthetic graphite which is angular in nature and which will deform with pressure. It
is designed to control well bore circulating losses and partial seepage losses of drilling fluids in the active mud system. The angular
shape, sizing and durability of SUN Resi-Flex® makes it an excellent choice as a pre-treatment in highly depleted zones. SUN’s
Resi_Flex® is chemically inert and compatible in all drilling fluids. It has the additional benefit of providing solid lubrication to the
well bore to reduce torque and drag, and improve sliding. SUN Resi-Flex® is available in Resi-Flex® and Resi-Flex XL® allowing the
operator to address the drilling issue economically as well as effectively.
Sun SX-Plus® …
Sized Graphite with High Temperature Stability
SX-Plus® technology provides a thermally stable fluid-loss additive for high-temperature wells and is an integral component of our
Coastal Spot® stuck pipe pill. Based on extensive lab tests and field applications, it is known that a specific particle size will seal the
face of porous sands and other formations helping to reduce the transfer of differential pressure. SX-Plus® graphitic particles have a
PSD ranging from 40 mesh to >200 mesh (425 to >75 microns) and kept within that specific size range to more effectively reduce
fluid loss. The SX-Plus® product has a very high melting point unlike resins or gilsonite-based products. This carbon-based material
has been used for downhole treatments at temperatures of over 600°F (315°C) providing excellent thermal stability downhole.

Introduced in 1988, these proven polyalphaolefin (PAO) based lubricants and spotting fluid for stuck pipe have an extremely high
affinity for metal. Functioning as a barrier layer lubricant, the PAO base fluid in CoastaLube® minimizes metal to metal contact on
drill pipe, casing and coil tubing applications. C-Mul®, when used in higher concentrations, is designed to provide improvements in
the properties of water based drilling fluids for a more demanding and inhibitive resolution. Coastal Spot® has been the leader in
freeing stuck pipe for over 25 years. When applied promptly, this blend of PAO and key ingredients shrinks the filter cake, reduces
the fluid loss and differential pressure, while lubricating the drill pipe or casing allowing it to be pulled free. In addition, the PAO
base fluid is one of the most environmentally friendly synthetics available in the industry for human and marine contact and can
simply be circulated into the existing mud system.

Higher ROP and Reduced Pipe Wear
The Lubra-Glide® Bead Recovery Unit (LGBRU) is a patented closed-loop system by which our process of
recovering up to 95% of the Lubra-Glide® Beads for continuous r euse while dr illing hor izontal or high angle
wells significantly reduces torque and drag. The impact is readily accomplished and historically successful.
This process allows the operator to maintain a consistent volumetric concentration of beads throughout the system.
SUN’s Lubra-Glide® Beads consistent PSD r ange not only pr ovides you with the optimal size bead for
drilling and sliding, but allows the operator to use screens on the rig primary shakers that are necessary for
optimum fluid performance. The modular nature of the LGBRU allows for easy set up on any location both

FracBlack® ULW Proppant …
Where Production Meets Potential
FracBlack® is SUN’s third generation High Strength Ultra Lightweight (ULW) proppant. The near buoyant design
allows the proppant to easily go where the frac fluid goes regardless of chemistry or viscosity. Sand
settles and is hard to move. FracBlack® has a specific gravity (SG) of 1.06 and will easily travel farther
than any sand available in fracture stimulation applications. FracBlack® is an advanced thermoset
nanocomposite bead, wherein an intimately dispersed carbon black nanofiller provides strong
reinforcement.
FracBlack® can be used at closure stresses of 8000 psi and tested temperatures at 275°F, much greater
than our earlier formulations. This breakthrough product in ULW proppant technology provides technical resolution to
the primary issues related to proppant placement due to transportability, minimizes settling due to the near buoyant 1.06
SG and eliminates traditional fines generation downhole or during handling.
