Phenomenon Students include a claim that answers the question (What phenomenon [something—such as an interesting fact or event—that can be observed and studied and that typically is unusual or difficult to understand or explain fully] can I now explain? Explain how the phenomenon works… Students state what they created for evidence, and describe what they have uploaded. Is it a photo, a link, a video, a poster, an electronic document, etc.? How was this different than what you’ve done before? How is using ____________ different than previous assignments? What could you do before or know before? What can you now do or what do you now know as a result of this assignment/project? Students explain how the learning was more complex (complicated/in-depth). Give specific details of the factors that make your understanding of the phenomenon more complex (complicated/in-depth) than what you have done in previous semesters. The personal pronoun I is always capitalized. There are no more than three basic errors in the paragraph. The paper is written in complete sentences that use correct spelling, punctuation, grammar usage, and capitalization. Paragraph document is uploaded and typed in 11 or 12 point Calibri, Arial, or Times New Roman. First and last name is in the upper left hand corner. Project is uploaded and serves as evidence of the claim. If this is an electronic document, please upload that actual document to your STEAM folder in Google Drive. You do not need a picture of you in it if it is this type of evidence. If you created a project or poster, you DO need a picture of the project with you in the picture. To name your evidence file, include: semester (S1 or S2) year (15-16) Physical Science Evidence Upload your evidence NOW. Put it into your main STEAM folder on Google Drive. Your STEAM folder should be shared with [email protected] After you have filled in each blank above, please hand to your teacher so they can check to see if you have met the requirements for each item and add their initials where indicated. Finally, be sure that you have reviewed the capitalization, punctuation, and paper setup. If complete, check the small boxes on the left of the page.
