! Ribble Valley Netball Club Registration Pack - Season 2014/2015 ( rvncregpack2014_2015version3 ) PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY. In order to train and play with our club we require you to become a member by returning all forms and payment as outlined in this pack. We have provided a check list on page 11 to help ensure you have completed every step. REGISTRATION & AFFILIATION FEES Club memberships run from September to July in line with the school year. It comprises of 1 x annual registration fee and 12 x monthly payments. ( even though the membership is for 10 months we use monthly payments in order to allow us to use continuous Standing Order payments with your bank) The 2014_15 annual registration fee is £30 and the monthly payments are £18. The annual registration fee includes "firstclaim" affiliation with England Netball and a RVNC joining fee. Please see the England netball website for member benefit information.. you will see receive an email from them with your unique affiliation number. We also offer a multiple family membership discount .The annual registration fee is payable per family member and the monthly payments are £16 for the second child and £14 for the third. We advise using a separate standing order for each child. Mid Season - New members The annual registration fee applies , monthly payments should commence on the date of your third training session. Mid Season - Transfers England affiliation also runs from September to July and cannot be transferred to another netball club mid season. Participation with Ribble Valley is possible as a "secondclaim" team for the current season and then renewal will be through Ribble Valley in the following season. When transferring mid season the Ribble Valley joining fee will be £10. * *this applies to transfers within Lancashire only .. please speak to our Club Development Officer (Jane Moodie) for assistance. Regional Games are £2 per player per qtr played plus £10 Regional Registration (annual) Match fees should be given to the voluntary team leader / assistant coach or coach on match day All our fees are calculated to cover the costs of umpires , coaches expenses , entrance fees , admin charges etc and any additional equipment which is not covered by grants , fundraising or sponsorship. Training kit Compulsory training kit for all RVNC members consists of a royal blue skort and white training shirt with the club logo on. New members should order this kit at the time of registration with the club. Once a player participates regularly they will be expected to purchase a royal blue dress for matches. All other items of kit are optional; however the club highly recommends that you purchase a sweatshirt and wear suitable trainers. Training Sessions Training will take place oncer per week during term time (1st September 2014 until 10th July 2015) There will be additional fitness / workshop sessions that will be offered periodically throughout the year / school holidays at an additional fee appropriate to the class on offer. As part of our communication activities, the Club occasionally uses photography/ video for publicity. We would like your permission to photograph/film your child for possible inclusion in our publications, website and other such materials. The image(s) will remain the property of the club. Data Protection. The club is a not for profit organisation and as such endeavours to follow the 8 principles of the data protection act. Information provided in this document will not be shared outside of Ribble Valley Netball Club and it's members and will be used for the purposes of enhancing your membership with the club. The England Netball Affiliation form will be shared with England Netball on your behalf. Page 3 ! of 11 ! CLUB CODES OF CONDUCT Agreement to the Club's official codes of conduct is a condition of a player's membership. We encourage good discipline and positive behaviour in our club and remind members , parents , carers & supporters that they are representing the club at all times when training , playing and supporting. If any code is broken we employ a 3 strike rule. If this is exceeded the player will be asked to leave the club. Players need to read and understand the Codes of Conduct before signing and agreeing to become a member of RVNC on Page 6. PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT FOR TRAINING SESSIONS 1. If for some reason you cannot attend training, please let your coach know. 2. Registration will be taken prior to the start of each session. If you are injured or ill, please let the person who is taking registration know. Also please discuss with your coach if there are any personal / medical issues that may have an impact on training. 3. All girls must attend training in Club training kit of royal blue skort, white training top and white socks. Appropriate trainers must be worn.(not leisure shoes) 4. Fingernails to be cut to the appropriate length and all jewellery removed. Hair must be tied back. 5. Hydration is very important. It is YOUR responsibility to bring sufficient fluids to training sessions i.e. one litre of water and one energy drink. NO fizzy drinks. Also, one energy bar may be allowed to each session. 6. Discipline is extremely important and disruptive behaviour of any player has a negative influence on training for everyone. The Club has adopted THE THREE STRIKE RULE: i) Any player who is found to be disrupting training will be verbally warned. This will be recorded by the coaching staff and a note of the player/s involved. ii) If the disruption reoccurs, the player’s parents/guardians will receive written notification and the matter will be reported to the Club’s committee. iii) A third incident will result in the committee terminating the player’s membership of the club. 7. Respect for your coach and who you are training with are paramount. Intimidation towards other members WILL NOT be tolerated. It will be reported and treated as a discipline matter. 8. Use of mobile phones should not be used during training unless there is an emergency. 9. Sweets and chewing gum MUST NOT be eaten during training. 10. All personal equipment must be taken care of at all times. Please do not bring items of value to training or matches. RVNC cannot be held responsible for damage to or loss of any personal items. Page 4 ! of 11 ! PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT - SQUAD As a member of the squad , I fully understand and agree to the following conditions : 1. I realise that I have been selected as a member of the squad for my ability, commitment and hard work. As a member of the squad I will endeavour to work hard to make the squad successful. 2. I will support and respect fellow squad members at all times. I know that negative or derogatory comments or intimidation towards other squad members will not be accepted as such comments can only demoralise a fellow member. 3. Squads for tournaments will be selected by the team coach / leader. I am fully aware and happy that if selected I may have to share my position and in some cases play fewer games than other squad members. 4. Squads for tournaments will be selected by the team coach / leader. I realise that such selections will be based on my performance and development during training and local league games. 5. I will at all times respect any decisions made by my coach or Leader. I understand that squad selections are made to win games and not glorify individuals. 6. I will at all times respect any decisions made by officials and show respect towards them. 7. The club's THREE STRIKE RULE applies whilst playing and training with the squad. Do not force an unwilling child to participate in netball. Remember children are involved in netball for their enjoyment not yours. Encourage your children to play to the rules and not to argue with umpires or other officials. Teach your child that honest effort is more important than victory so that the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment. Turn losing into winning by helping your child work towards skill improvement and good sportsmanship. Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a game. Remember that children learn best by example. Applaud good play by your team and by members of the opposition. Do not question the umpire’s decisions or honesty. Remember he/she is only human with the same feelings as you, and like you, can sometimes make an honest error. Recognise the importance and value of coaches / team leaders / committee members who are all volunteers. They give children their time and resources to provide netball for your child. Read the rules of netball to understand better what you are watching and commenting on. Promote this Code of Conduct to other parents, carers and supporters. Page 5 ! of 11 !
