SUNLIGHT SHORES COUNTRY CLUB
FACILITIES USE AGREEMENT
This Indemnification Agreement is made and entered into this _______ day of _________________,
_____ by and between _____________________________________, also referred to below as “Signer”,
and Sunlight Shores Country Club, Inc., a Washington, non-profit corporation, also referred to below as
“SSCC”.
Signer is a member-in-good-standing of SSCC, which owns improved and unimproved real property (the
“Club Property”) described as Lots 13 and 14, Block 1, and lots 19 and 20, Block 2, Plat of Sunlight Shores
Div. No. 1, together with adjoining, second-class tidelands, in Island County, Washington. There
presently are located on the Club Property a residential structure (the “Clubhouse”) and an adjacent
swimming pool (the “Pool”). SSCC operates the Pool and Clubhouse for the benefit of Signer and other
SSCC members; and, each member, including Signer, is entitled to use a portion of the Clubhouse and/or
Grounds--as well as the Pool--for special occasions/events, in addition to normal use of those facilities.
Use of the Pool and Clubhouse for events, as well as normal use, is governed by certain rules established
by SSCC; and, all such use is controlled by the board and monitored by the Caretaker(s) (the
“Caretaker(s)” who presently occupies(y) and maintains areas of the Clubhouse as a primary residence,
under separate agreement with SSCC.
Signer desires to use a portion of the Club Property in general, and/or the Clubhouse, and/or Pool for an
Event on ________________________________, and has arranged for such use and coordinated it
through the board representative. In consideration of the benefits to be derived by Signer for use of the
Clubhouse, and/or a portion of the Club Property, and/or Pool for an event; and, in consideration of the
mutual covenants as set forth below, SSCC and Signer covenant and agree as follows.
1. Signer may use a portion of the Club Property in general , and/or a portion of the Clubhouse,
and/or Pool on the date set forth in paragraph #3 above, between the hours (which may be
flexible) of 8 a.m.-10 p.m., for an event which will be attended by Signer, Signer’s family, and
Signer’s guests.
2. Signer shall--and hereby does--assume full responsibility for the conduct and safety of Signer,
Signer’s family, and Signer’s guests during the Event, in-or-about a portion of the Club Property in
general, and/or the Clubhouse, and/or Pool.
3. Signer shall abide by all rules established by SSCC for use of portions of the Club Property in
general, and/or Clubhouse, and/or Pool; and, to use only those portions of the Clubhouse
permitted by SSCC--under separate agreement with the Caretaker(s)--for use by SSCC Members.
4. Signer shall follow any directions given by the board representative or Caretaker(s) concerning the
behavior of Signer and Signer’s family, and/or Signer’s guests, during the Event, including a
direction to terminate the Event and/or to leave portions of the Club Property in general, and/or
Club House, and/or Pool; if, the Caretaker(s) or board representative considers such direction to
be appropriate under the circumstances.

5. Signer shall indemnify SSCC and the Caretaker(s), and hold SSCC and the Caretaker(s) harmless
from--and defend SSCC and the Caretaker(s) against--any and all liability, loss, or damage that
SSCC and/or the Caretaker(s) may suffer as a result of claims or demands, costs (including attorney
fees and court costs), or judgments against SSCC and/or the Caretaker(s) or board members
arising from, or in any manner related to, the use by Signer, Signer’s family, and/or Signer’s guests
during the Event, in, on, or about a portion of the Club Property in general, and/or the Club House,
and/or the Pool.
6. A Security Deposit of a $100.00 check will be collected at the time of the signing of this
document, and includes a pre-inspection. It will be returned when a post-inspection is completed
to the satisfaction of the Signer and a designated board member.
7. Donations are accepted, encouraged, and appreciated.
