For example, the Singaporean and Indian markets differ significantly with the top ten brands in Singapore being well known international brands, whereas local brands dominate the top ten results in India. This strong presence of international brands within Singapore may well be encouraged by their very open economy for international trade and investment. However, as we witness the Indian market continue to develop rapidly in the coming years, will this open up their top ten to become increasingly dominated by global brands?
