NEWS FOR THE PRESS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 2015, West Chester, PA. Founded in 1991 by pediatric physical therapist
Lisa Mackell, Theraplay is recognized as a regional leader in providing physical,
occupational, speech and feeding therapy services for children from birth through
age 21. Theraplay operates seven outpatient facilities across southeastern PA, and
also supports students and families in school settings and through Early
Intervention.
In addition to individual therapy appointments, Theraplay runs therapeutic play
groups several times a year at many of their locations. These groups cover a
number of topics and address concerns better served in a group environment.
For Summer 2015, Theraplay is running 4 groups at 3 locations: “Let’s be
Friends” social skills group at their Quakertown and West Chester centers, “Write
On” kindergarten skills group at their Horsham center, and “Little Ones” infant skills
group, also at the West Chester location. Each group is held at a different location,
on different days and at different times to make scheduling easy.
Theraplay’s mission is to provide pediatric therapy services in a play
environment that will enable a child to maximize their potential. These groups are
just another way to achieve that goal.
