Carnegie Council’s Carnegie New Leaders
(CNL) program provides an exclusive platform for
the next generation of ethical global leaders to
explore a variety of issues including corruption,
technology, war, and the environment.
To apply for membership, please go to the Council’s website and look
under the “programs” tab for Carnegie New Leaders or go directly to this
link. Applicants are asked to provide a CV, letter of interest, and two

Candidates must meet the
following criteria:
•Age 40 or under
•Demonstrated interest in
international affairs
Carnegie New Leaders at the United States Military
Academy at West Point
•Demonstrated excellence
in their field
Through a series of informal and formal gatherings, CNL members join
an esteemed community of business professionals, policy makers,
social innovators, and scholars who are changing the way we
approach global ethics in the 21st century. From interactive
conversations with dynamic leaders to site visits with peers, this
exceptional group provides a variety of ways to learn and engage in
productive discussions and projects. Past programs have included
leadership training at West Point and Fort Hamilton as well as private
dinners with former US Department of State Director of Policy Planning
Anne-Marie Slaughter, journalist and ISIS expert Michael Weiss, and
political activist and presidential candidate Lawrence Lessig.
