FedEx Express in France
Overview
FedEx Express began serving France in 1985. Since then, it has continued to play an important role in connecting
France (and Europe) to the rest of the world, not least through the launch of its European sorting center at Paris,
Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG). Officially opened in September 1999, the FedEx Roissy-CDG hub is today FedEx
largest hub outside the US.
On July 3, 2012, FedEx Corp. announced that it has completed the acquisition of TATEX, a French courier company,
which was renamed FedEx Express France on March 1st 2013.
FedEx Express in France is composed of 3 legal entities: FEDERAL EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL France, FEDERAL
EXPRESS CORPORATION and FEDEX EXPRESS FRANCE.
