Field Trip Bus Parking
The Boston Autoport in Charlestown is available for short-term motor coach and
school bus parking. It is a privately owned and operated facility and is not affiliated
with the Museum of Science.

The Boston Autoport accommodates up to 50 motor
coaches and buses per day. Services include:
The Boston Autoport is located 1.2 miles from the
Museum of Science. Call ahead before arriving:

Note: No passengers are allowed in the
facility—drivers only.

Establish credit or pay cash at time of arrival.

• Price per motor coach: $2o
• Follow this route EXACTLY. Arrivals from Terminal
Street will be refused admission.
• Turn right onto McGrath O’Brien Highway and
move quickly into center lane. Do NOT turn right
onto Storrow Drive.
• At traffic light, go straight through the intersection
onto Martha Road. Do NOT follow Route 93 ramps.
• At second light, turn left onto Causeway Street and
pass Banknorth Garden on your left.
• Turn left at North Washington Street, which is
the next major intersection with traffic lights.
• Price per school bus: $10
• Drive over a small expansion bridge into Charlestown.
At first set of lights, turn right onto Chelsea Street.
To Check In
• Follow Chelsea Street to the end, which positions
you under Tobin Bridge.
• Call ahead: 617-594-7864.
• Use directions at right.
• Fill out an invoice.
• Follow attendant to designated parking spot.
• After parking the vehicle, the driver may go to the
driver facility in the dormitory or wait in the bus.
Walking around the facility is NOT allowed.
• Travel over a small water channel; you will see
signs for bus parking on a wooden fence.
• Turn right into Mystic Pier 1 property. Proceed
to Station 1.
• Pull vehicle up to fuel aisle.
• Wait for an attendant to check you in.
