KGYAA Flag Football Action

On what was truly a beautiful, sunny Spring afternoon, the King George Youth Athletic
Association (KGYAA) opened its first-ever flag football program this past Sunday at
Barnesfield Park.
All thirteen teams saw action, and while there were many exciting games across all
three divisions (D1: 6-8, D2: 9-11, D3: 12-14), the day's final contest between the D3
Outlaws and D3 Shockers was truly the “game of week”.
With under a minute left in regulation, the Outlaws were trailing 34-32 when Tyler Hoad
completed a perfectly thrown 37-yard "bomb" to Matthew Jerson to take a 38-34 lead.
It appeared as if the Outlaws had secured a tremendous come-from-behind victory, but
with a mere 17 seconds left to play, the Shockers answered when Mike Buckler hit Mike
Davis for their own 37-yard "bomb" to take the lead for good, 40-38. The successfully
executed conversion attempt sealed for the Shockers an exciting 42-38 opening day
victory.

D1 Tigers @ D1 Wolfpack: The Wolfpack defeated the Tigers 57-6. Leaders for the
Wolfpack were Will Gordon, Jaden Johnson, and Will Gordon. Leaders for the Tigers
were Jaiden Butler, AJ Gibson, and Trent Yon.
D1 Bobcats @ D1 Knights: The Knights defeated the Bobcats 44-18. Leaders for the
Knights were Jaylon Baylor, David Clift, and Cameron Schaub. Leaders for the Bobcats
were Dmontre Harvey, Mason Middleton, and Zachariah Wheeler.
D2 Venom @ D2 Renegades: The Venom defeated the Renegades 36-6. Leaders for
the Venom were Hunter Campbell, Anthony Foster, and Brian Greeley. Leaders for the
Renegades were Parker Holland, Patrick Newton, and Jake Stahl.
D2 Rebels @ D2 Warhawks: The Warhawks defeated the Rebels 36-6. Leaders for
the Warhawks were Tony Davis, Trevor Parr, and Nygel White. Leaders for the Rebels
were Robert Matthews, Deon Williams, and Devin Williams.
D2 Warhawks @ D2 Aces: The Warhawks defeated the Aces 22-16. Leaders for the
Warhawks were Willie Calloway, Tony Davis, and Sheldon Flynn. Leaders for the Aces
were Eric Curtis, Remington Green, and Chas Parker.
D3 Blitz @ D3 Stingers: The Blitz defeated the Stingers 54-6. Leaders for the Blitz
were Jaylen Brinson, Corey Rodriguez, and Brent Welch. Leaders for the Stingers were
Shawn Brown, Joe Houck, and Jacob Tritt.
