John Perrault will present a program of traditional Old World Ballads along
with New England Story songs. He will draw from a repertoire that ranges
from “Bonnie Barbara Allen”, to the Maine woods song “Canada–I-O”, to his
own ballad of “Chocorua” and “Ballad of the Squalus”. John will trace the
evolution of the traditional ballad from the mountains and moors of the
British Isles to the Southern Mountains and Northern Border of North
America. He will accompany himself on guitar.
Copies of John’s books and recordings will be available for purchase.
Ladies and Gentlemen and their progeny are all invited to this free event.
