Teddy Tennis: inspiring a generation of young
children to get active and to play tennis
Teddy Tennis is a fantastic new way for children to learn to play tennis. It works by combining music,
pictures and teddy bear characters into a learning adventure that children love. Our job is not only to
ensure the Cub Cadets learn how to play tennis but they have FUN. Teddy Tennis will develop each
Cub Cadet’s athletic capabilities, improve their coordination, increase their confidence, enhance their
communication skills and encourage them to come back for more ... FUN!

Lessons
Teddy Tennis lessons have been carefully designed so as to
develop a combination of Movement, Ball and Racket Skills.
The key components of the program are music and pictures;
the music provides the rhythm and timing for the different. Teddy
Tennis games and exercises, the pictures are used to show the
children how to play - the combination works brilliantly.

The Teddy Tennis program is based upon a whole series of
songs, pictures, teddy bear characters and games that inspire
young children to play tennis.
• Speeds up the learning process
Characters
The Teddy Bears, all of whom are members of the Teddy Tennis
Academy, add yet another dimension to the program. Danny
Bear, Tim Bear, Boris Bear, Amanda Panda, Johnny Mac - each
of the Teddy Tennis characters has their own personality and
character; they also have their favorite Teddy Tennis exercise
and song. Some members of the Teddy Tennis Academy are
especially talented as they play in the band “Head Ted and the
Cub Cadets.”
