Athletic Code Revision
Earlier this week it became apparent that the Tenino Athletic Code did not meet
the requirements of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA)
in relation to multiple failing grades. Previously, students were allowed to
participate in athletics, during a probationary period for up to 3 weeks, if they were
receiving multiple failing grades. The standard set by WIAA rule is that student
athletes may be failing only one class and remain eligible.
As of Monday, October 13, any students receiving more than one failing grade will
be ineligible to participate in Tenino School District athletic events.
