Election of NEA Representative Assembly Delegates (Teacher Unit) Vote: Monday, Jan. 25 through Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 Special Election Publication: January 25, 2016 Candidate Statements Voting Instructions The candidates were asked to provide a statement of 25 words or fewer for their nomination. The statements are printed below. Only the first 25 words of candidate statements have been printed, per the election rules. Candidates are solely responsible for their views and the accuracy of their information. As a member of the MTEA, WEAC, and the NEA, you have the opportunity to elect the delegates who will represent the MTEA at the Representative Assembly of the National Education Association (NEA) in July 2016 and 2017. The statements are listed in the same order as the candidates’ names appear on the ballot. The order is chosen randomly.The number in front of each candidate’s name is the candidate’s number on the ballot. All members of the MTEA teacher unit will receive a ballot via email on Monday, January 25. The email will come from Vote-Now. Here is how to cast your vote: • Click on the voting link (sent to members in an email from Vote-Now). • Follow the instructions closely. You may vote for up to 14 candidates.
