The candidates were asked to
provide a statement of 25 words
or fewer for their nomination. The
statements are printed below. Only
the first 25 words of candidate statements have been printed, per the
election rules. Candidates are solely
responsible for their views and the
accuracy of their information.
As a member of the MTEA, WEAC, and the NEA, you have the opportunity to
elect the delegates who will represent the MTEA at the Representative Assembly of the National Education Association (NEA) in July 2016 and 2017.
The statements are listed in the
same order as the candidates’
names appear on the ballot. The
order is chosen randomly.The
number in front of each candidate’s
name is the candidate’s number on
the ballot.
All members of the MTEA teacher unit will receive a ballot via email on Monday,
January 25. The email will come from Vote-Now.
Here is how to cast your vote:

Follow the instructions closely. You may vote for up to 14 candidates. If you
vote for more than 14 candidates, your ballot will be invalid.

MTEA in the past 6 RA’s and I would relish the chance to

Amy Mizialko: Please allow me to continue representing
you as your WEAC/NEA delegate. I will do everything I can
to protect our public schools and our profession.

Advocate for public schools. I will represent children and
MTEA to the best of my abilities if chosen.
Bramouse Muhammad: I will continue to represent our
Educational Rights as an Educator, Social Activist, and
Community leader to maintain the dignity of our profession.

12. Sherita Brazil-Kostuck: After 25 years of being a loyal

the 2016/2017 NEA RA.
