Thanksgiving
November 26
Whaler’s Cove would like to extend its well wishes for a Happy
Thanksgiving to all of our residents, family, staff and community partners.
This time of year is as good a time as any to tell those around you how
thankful you are for their presence and influence in your life. Here’s who
we want to thank this Thanksgiving:
To all of our residents – thank you for choosing our community and trusting
us to meet your daily needs. It is an honor to get to know you better each
day.
To all of our families and caregivers – thank you for believing that we can
provide a safe and comfortable living environment for your loved one. We
take this seriously and continuously strive to be better.
To all of our staff – thank you for working hard for us and for the residents
each and every day. You are the foundation of our community and without
your dedication and compassion, Whaler’s Cove would not be as great as
it is today.
To our community partners – thank you for working beside us each day,
helping us help the residents age in place and receive services that may
be beyond our scope. Your unfailing professionalism and willingness to
work with us helps with the continuity of care here at Whaler’s Cove.
We hope that everyone enjoys their time with their families and friends this
season! If residents and families are planning on staying at Whaler’s Cove
for the lunch meal, you will not be disappointed! Paul Chagnon, Food
Service Director, and his staff are preparing a wonderful meal to share with
you.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Whaler’s Cove Assisted Living!

When self-interest is seen as part of common interest;
When old wrongs, old scores, old mistakes are deleted from the account;
When the aim becomes co-operation and mutual benefit rather than revenge
or seizing maximum personal or group gain;
There will be peace when justice and equality before the law becomes the
basis of government;
When basic freedoms exist;
When political, religious, and educational leaders, and the police and media
wholeheartedly embrace the concepts of justice, equality, freedom, tolerance,
and reconciliation as a basis for renewal;
When parents teach their children new ways to think about people.
There will be peace: When enemies become fellow human beings.
