Marie Curie
Marie Curie, née Maria Sklodowska, was born in Warsaw on November 7, 1867. In
1903, she and her husband, Pierre Curie, shared half of a Nobel Prize in Physics
for their studies of radiation. In 1911, Curie’s studies of radioactivity earned her the
Nobel Prize in Chemistry as well.
