6X 100% Natural Fertiliser
Confused by the endless number of fertilisers, composts and
dressings on the market? There is a simple answer that
contains all your needs in one bag for everything that grows
in your garden – including the lawn.
6X 100% Natural Fertiliser is just
that – traditional chicken fertiliser but
concentrated so that one sack is
equivalent to six sacks of farm
manure – for exceptional value.
You spend so much on buying healthy
plants that it makes sense to continue
to look after them when they are
planted in your garden.
Soil condition
The condition of your soil is a key factor in achieving
spectacular results. 6X contains all the nutrients and trace
elements that plants require – plus the fibrous, organic,
content needed to ‘condition’ the soil.
If your soil is heavy, 6x will open it up to avoid
waterlogging – if your soil is light and ‘blow away’, 6X will
hold the moisture and add ‘bulk’ to stabilise it. So it
promotes healthy growth and good root development,
proper drainage and the activity of earthworms.
Gardeners have been using traditional, fibrous, 6X 100%
Natural Fertiliser for over 50 years and, because it has a
neutral pH balance its great for all plants. Composted, oven
sterilised to eradicate pathogens and weeds, it comes in 15kg
sacks, which treat up to a bumper 184sq metres (220sq yds).
Analysis: Nitrogen (N) 5.8%, Phosphorous (P) 3.5%,
Potassium (K) 3% – pH 6.8
6X Easy Spread Pellets
The 6X Easy Spread Pellets have all
the advantages of the ‘traditional’
6X Fertiliser. Their modern pelleted
format makes them so easy to spread
and they are ‘odourless’ too – making
it possible to use them close to the
house in patio planters and
conservatories. The pellets are also
ideal in a spreader for lawns.
Two pack sizes are available: an 8kg
bucket which treats up to 90sq metres
(110sq yds) and a 20kg sack which
treats up to 264sq metres (320sq yds).
How do I use it?
You can spend so much time planning
and maintaining your garden. 6X
helps you to make sure you receive
the maximum return for your hard
work. That’s why it makes sense to give regular application
to all your plants – annuals, perennials, shrubs, roses, trees,
hedges – in fact everything you grow! For example, with
roses just sprinkle one or two handfuls around each bush
when planting and with established plants give a good
handful at pruning time and when the buds begin to swell.
You can even mix 6X with potting or ericaceous compost for
use with camellias, azaleas and other lime haters and being
odourless, you can incorporate a handful mixed into each
bucket of planting medium for all your hanging baskets and
patio planters. Top up with another sprinkle of pellets every
3-4 weeks throughout the growing season.
Analysis: Nitrogen (N) 5%, Phosphorous (P) 3.3%,
Potassium (K) 2.2% – pH 6.5-7.0
Bumper crops of vegetables
Using either 6X Natural Fertiliser or
6X Easy Spread Pellets, sprinkle a
double handful per square metre
and lightly fork into the top 3-6cm
of soil prior to planting and top
dress again throughout the
season, particularly with
‘hungry feeders’ such as
peas, beans and brassicas.
Do I need to take
any precautions?
Plants can only take up nourishment in liquid form through
their roots. Therefore, as with all fertilisers it is essential to
always water well after application.
If you are allergic to chickens or feathers, avoid directly
handling 6X or breathing the dust. Some pets may be
attracted to eat 6X and, whilst this should not cause a
problem, it is recommended that it should be discouraged.
