How do you want your wedding to be shot?
Ideally, what percentage of each type of photography would you like? (Should total approx 100%)
Candid/Photojournalistic _______ %
Natural Portraiture _______ %
Formal Posed Photography _______ %
Little Details _______ % 4
Our Definitions:
Candid/Photojournalistic - This avoids posed or prompted shots and captures the spontaneity of your
wedding day. Moments are not created; they are captured. Photojournalism shows you the joy,
emotion, and spontaneity of the day. Photographs are simple and immediate, an instant of life captured
on film.
Natural Portraiture - These are semi-posed, natural looking, casual portraits. Individuals or groups of
people are brought together without the look of a formal set-up. This style gives a more relaxed,
contemporary and fun look.
Formal Posed Photography - Individuals or groups of people are set up by the photographer in formal
poses. The complete opposite of candid photography. This is typically the most traditional style of
wedding photography and is very popular with older family members. The photos are quite formal but
are very consistent. This would include posed portraits of the bride and groom, family, wedding
attendants and prompted photos of the traditional "happenings" at your wedding.
Little Details - A component of photojournalistic style. Captures small details that help you to truly
remember the day – samples; the beads of a dress, the swirls of frosting on the cake, the blossoms of
your flowers, artistic close ups of the rings, etc.

We want your wedding photos to be flawless. We will be unobtrusive and ready to capture your special
moments. We like to set up a pose and then have everyone act natural and interact. Here are a few
things to keep in mind for the big day:
Avoid glossy lipstick and consider foundation or powder that will reduce the chance of having a shiny
face. Please note mineral makeup causes unflattering effects with flash due to elements that reflect light
in them. Glittery and shimmering powder is also a bad choice for the entire bridal party.
In order to allow for a private photo session of bride and groom, we will need at least half an hour of
your time alone with the photographer. This can be done before or after the ceremony.
It takes time to gather family members for photos. Pre-assign a family member or friend who knows the
people to be in the pictures so they can round them up for the photos. And have a list. Getting people
where they need to be for the photos is the most important thing.
