SCHOOL OFFICE
First point of contact for parents and students in both the Collège and Lycée
There are two secondary school offices, one for Collège and one for Lycée, under the supervision of
the education advisors (Conseillères Principales d’Education -aka C.P.E), and the education assistants
(aka surveillants).
These school employees provide educational and academic to the students and their families, assisting
with all educational matters, including administration, absences and educational support. They also
supervise and monitor students during free-time while the school is open, such as before and after
classes, during recess, and study-time.
COMMUNICATING with the CSI
At the beginning of the school year, each student is given a correspondence book (“Carnet de Liaison”),
which is used for communication between parents and teachers. Be certain to check it on a daily basis!
Inside you will find school rules, notices of school outings or special projects, requests for parents participation, and other various useful information. As a parent, you will be expected to follow up with these
notifications by signing any new messages. Meetings with teachers can also be arranged upon request
through the Carnet de Liaison.
WHAT SHALL I DO IF MY CHILD IS ABSENT?
On the first morning of your child’s absence, please contact :
Secondary : The school office by phone or email (for Collège : +33 - (0)4 78 69 60 16
[email protected] and for Lycée : +33 (0)4 78 69 60 18 - [email protected])
Primary: The Director by email only ([email protected])
On the day your child returns to school, complete the absentee forms, which can be found within your
child’s Carnet de Liaison..
Pronote/ENT
In Secondary there are intranet dashboards to follow the progress of your child’s education :
- Pronote
- ENT (“Espace Numérique de Travail”)
On Pronote, you’ll be able to check your child’s timetable, homework and school results. To log on, each
parent is given a personal user ID and password at the beginning of the school year.
On the ENT, you can find lots of useful information about the school and correspond with the school and
teachers via email.
MEDICAL CLINIC
Two nurses in Secondary
One nurse in Primary
The medical clinic is essentially a place for consultations on medical matters and wellbeing.
The nurses will be happy to welcome both students and family on a confidential basis.
Nurses will also administer first aid assistance if an accident occurs, and accommodate a sick child in their
(generally) quiet quarters, complete with beds.
School
HOURS
Secondary : Collège and Lycée
School hours are scheduled according to personal timetables. Your child will be given his or her timetable on the first day of school. It can also be checked on Pronote.
A school day is divided into “sequences” of 50 minutes each. The number of sequences (and therefore
starting and finishing times) depends on the level of the student, and their timetable.
