Mailed entries must be postmarked by May 13, 2016. Your entries must be received by May 7th in order to be listed in our show program. Entries received after May 17th will incur a $30.00 late entry fee. Registration Papers TWH classes require front and back copies of Registration Papers, NO EXCEPTIONS. We do not keep your papers on file. Open Gaited Breeds do not need to provide registration papers. Hotel The host hotel for Spring Fling is the Hampton Inn & Suites Los Angeles Burbank Airport. California’s Equine Medication Monitoring Program Under California law, this is a public event which falls under the mandate of Industry funded California’s Equine Medication Monitoring Program (EMMP). The intent of the EMMP is to ensure the integrity of public horse shows, competitions, and sales through the control of performance and disposition enhancing drugs and permitting limited therapeutic use of drugs at an equine event. However, horses that arrive prior to Thursday noon, or depart later than Sunday night, will incur a $30 fee per day. Horses will enter at a working walk , once gate is closed judge will call for a flat walk. This class does not require a running walk. Judge may or may not call for halt, back, 20 meter circle. Horse will perform both directions in arena. OBEDIENCE - Open to amateur riders and all gaited breeds. Horses will perform both directions. Horses will enter arena at working walk, once gate is closed , judge will call for flat walk and running walk. during performance judge may call for halt, back, turn on fore hand, turn on haunches, side pass, etc. BEGINNING CANTER - This class is for horses who have never shown in a canter class. Horse will perform flat walk , running walk and canter both directions of arena. COME AS YOU ARE - Open to any rider not showing in any other performance class. Show clothing not allowed. CHALLENGE OF THE BREEDS - Open to all gaited breeds. Horses will line up in ring then perform a pattern. Once all horses have completed pattern they will continue on rail at flat walk & running walk both directions of ring. All to be shown in halter. ThreeYear Olds are to be shown under saddle, and may be barefoot or wear an A or B shoes. Foals born after October 1st shall be shown as a weanling in the following year. Weanlings and yearlings shall be shown barefoot in a show halter. Two-Year Olds to be shown in a show halter, may be barefoot or shown in an A or B shoe. NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS 1. Both names and registration numbers of Sire, Dam and Foal must be listed on the Futurity form (see reverse). 2. If you nominate and show your Futurity horse, you must also pay a class fee and other show fees. There is no class fee if you nominate your foal and do not show. 3. The weanling must be registered with TWHBEA, IPWHR or Canadian Registry.
