bottle of wine you’ll take home. Buy a Solution Card and check the
number inside. The wine with the matching number is yours.
Fund-an-Item
Make a difference in our neighborhood. The PNA’s Greenwood
Senior Center provides programs and services that offer seniors
the opportunity to enhance their physical fitness, mental stimulation and emotional well-being while supporting them in their
efforts to preserve traditions, embrace change and maintain independence. GSC provides more than 85 educational, recreational,
social and health-related activities.
In the past three years, two North Seattle senior centers have
been forced to close for lack of funds. As a result, in 2009 the GSC
served 1527 seniors, more than double the number served in 2006.
We believe in positive aging for all seniors and are committed to
keeping the GSC a vital part of our neighborhood but we need your
help. Grants, fundraising and program fees don’t cover all of the
cost of providing those services. Your donations tonight will help
close the gap.
Silent Auction
 Silent Auction items have either a table tent describing
the item or the item itself. A bid sheet is nearby with the catalog
number and closing time. The opening bid and subsequent
minimum raises are already printed on the bid sheet. To bid on
an item, write your bid number and last name next to one
of the predetermined bid amounts. If you choose to make
a guaranteed bid (approximately 150% of retail value) the item is
automatically yours!
 Closing times are noted on the bid sheet by each item.
Closing times will be announced by the auctioneer five minutes
and one minute before closing.
 The final bid or guaranteed bid constitutes the winning bid.
Live Auction
 Live Auction items are listed in the catalog.
 To place a bid, hold your bid number toward the auctioneer.
The auctioneer’s pronouncement of SOLD will determine the
winner.
CASH, CHECK, VISA, MASTERCARD or American
Express ACCEPTED FOR AUCTION PURCHASES.
General Rules
 Each bidder receives a bid number when they check in.
This number serves as the bidder’s silent and live bid number as
well as the account number for checking out.
 The written or verbal bid constitutes a legal contract to
purchase the item. All purchases are final; there will be no
exchanges or refunds on items unless otherwise noted.
 All items must be paid for in full during the
evening unless other arrangements have been made
with the Auction Committee. Items may be removed from
the building only by exhibiting a PAID receipt from the cashier.
Payment may be made in cash, check, VISA, Mastercard,
or American Express. Make checks payable to the Phinney
Neighborhood Association (PNA).
 The Auction Committee has attempted to describe and
catalog all items accurately and will not be held responsible for
the correctness or condition of the items. No statement made at
this Auction shall be deemed as a warranty, representation or
assumption of liability. The values listed are estimates. Items have
not been appraised.
 Each person issued a bid number assumes all risks and
hazard related to the Auction and any items obtained at the
Auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability all
persons who have been connected with organizing this Auction.
 Note all conditions, restrictions and expiration
dates on items and services. Some items must be scheduled
at a mutually agreeable time for both parties. Individuals have
agreed to fulfill their Auction package obligation and the Phinney
Neighborhood Association cannot be held responsible for any
failure to meet such obligations.
Thank You!!
The success of this auction would not be possible without the
contributions of hundreds of businesses and individuals.

opportunity for “first dibs” on desserts by coming up with the
highest grand total.
 Each bidder should decide how much they would like to
