Discover
an opportunity called India
For a long time now, India was seen as a sleepy, slow moving giant and ignored by the world at
large. But today, liberal economic reforms and its high IQ, English speaking brainpower has
changed all that. Today, India is awakening to a new power within herself.
Quietly, but with breathtaking speed, Indian engineers, IT specialists, medical and business
graduates are winning accolades on the world stage and changing the way the world looks at
India. Indians are writing the new software of progress. Indian brainpower is reshaping the global
corporate world and is colonising cyberspace.
Today, India is the biggest site for nearly one third of new IT development work for big U.S.
companies. Companies are shifting bill payment, human resources and other functions to new,
paperless centres in India. Indian finance whizzes are spicing up Wall Street and Indian engineers are prized assets in Silicon Valley start ups. The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and
the call centre boom has made work opportunities explode in India. Opportunities in other high
profile sectors like auto-ancillary, healthcare, tourism, pharmaceuticals, etc. are also taking off.
On other fronts too India is making waves. More Indian companies are making it to the Forbes
Best and Fortune 500 lists. Indian exports across various sectors are expected to cross $103
billion. The ‘made in India’ label is highly visible on the global marqee. It’s predicted that India
would be the third largest economy after China and the U.S. by 2050. The future has never been
more promising.
Right now, our wonderful country has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to realise its full potential. A
future of plenty is opening up right here, right now. You can be the spark of a tiny change that
could make a world of difference to an individual and society. Are you ready to make the most of
it, for yourself and for India?
We Young Indians are ready to support you all the way.
