SBS RESEARCHERS USE HUMAN SCIENCE TO BENEFIT THE EQUINE INDUSTRY
It was over twenty years ago when news
journalist Paul Harvey talked on his nationally
syndicated radio show, “Paul Harvey News and
Comment,” about two doctors from Cape Cod, MA
( Drs. Shakalis and Pautienis) who borrowed
technology from human dentistry to develop
products for the equine hoof.
More recently SBS borrowed another idea from
human medicine, copper peptides, to develop a hoof
