Excretory System Foldable Instructions
Cut out the “doors”
Tape them into your ISN as shown
On the back of each door write the name of the system that aids in excretion.
On the page under the door, write what materials are excreted by that system and the key parts that aid in excretion.

• These systems function together as parts of your excretory system.
Remember: the urinary system is a part of the excretory system.

Integumentary System (Skin)
The integumentary system has many functions. One of the main functions is keeping you cool by sweating. Sweat is excreted water. In the water can be salts and organic compounds. The sweat and other materials are released through sweat glands in your skin.
Digestive System
Respiratory System
Once it is done processing your food, the digestive system excretes the leftover materials. This includes solid waste and water. The large intestine moves the solids into the rectum. They are released through the anus along with any unabsorbed water.
The respiratory systems is responsible for exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide. This exchange takes place in the lungs. The carbon dioxide is released every time you exhale. If you have ever breathed on a mirror and fogged it up then you know that water is also released every time to breath out.
