Lassen Volcanic National Park

Lassen Volcanic National Park
Join us in studying the human and natural history of
volcanic northern California. This course will take
you through lava tubes, atop the peak of a volcanic
cinder cone (and down in the crater, if you dare), to
the site of the last major American-Indian war, and
into Devil’s Kitchen (California’s own mini-Yellowstone).
Orientations:
Fridays: May 6th, 13th, & 20th 2016 – 6:00-8:30 pm
Natural History Museum (Room S109)
The course begins with three classroom orientations
(required), and then we’re off into the field! In
addition to the fun and adventure of learning about
nature in nature, you can also earn one unit of
biology credit. Join us and see what the excitement
is all about!
