Graham & Betty, Guatemala (Day 22)
Graham and Betty ask for prayer for their two week visit to different parts of Mexico, especially this coming
weekend in Veracruz for married couples. Pray that many may be helped in their spiritual lives so that the
Lord may be glorified.
Delwyn, Zambia (Day 10)
Delwyn is very thankful for, and was very aware of, people’s prayers for the Fusion service last Sunday
evening. The student response to remaining behind after the service for counseling and prayer was
overwhelming. The topic was “Is there hope for broken hearts?” (by student request) and the focus was on
bereavement, especially loss of a parent. This was clearly something a large number of the students related to
– please pray that the message given and the Bible verses used will be a source of much comfort to these
young people, both now and in the future.
Ron & Eunice, Italy (Day 15)
This weekend Ron and Eunice will be ministering in a Northern Italian assembly on ‘principles of church
growth’. There are four IBI students in this assembly so we hope to be able to make a vital contribution which
will empower these young men in their future efforts to revive God's work in this place (Avenza).
Brett & Michelle, Australia (Day 1)
We are back in Arnhem Land after being away for 2 ½ months furlough. Praise the Lord for a fantastic
Computing and Missions Conference in Melbourne last week and the MAF Learning Technologies Summit with
Arnhem Land and PNG staff coming together to share ideas and plan ahead. We gained some excellent
contacts and knowledge on using technology to share the Gospel and equip Yolngu Christians. Please pray for
us as we settle back in and as Brett gets back up to speed with flying this week.
Stuart & Marion, Japan (Day 7)
Thank you for praying for our special

weekend. There were good numbers
and many good personal conversations
which will be followed up. In addition,
a man who has come with his family to our Christmas meeting every year, for almost 20 years, was on his
deathbed last week, but continued to say 'give me more time to think about it' or, 'he'd know when he got
there'. At 2pm on Friday, with barely audible voice, he told us at last that he believed and would meet us in
heaven! We went home full of thanksgiving. At 8pm, his wife phoned to say he had just gone to Heaven. As
well as having our visiting speaker over the weekend, we have been fully occupied with all that is involved in a
Japanese funeral. The 'Home-call' funeral service will be held on Sunday 23rd at 3pm, in our hall and a very
large attendance is expected. Please pray for this and the many who are grieving the loss of a loved one but
at the same time are witnessing forgiveness and the peace that only the Lord can give.

Rebecca, Zambia/NZ (Day 10)
I'm back in NZ now, received a very warm welcome from my church, St Georges, I love it there! I'm enjoying
catching up with friends and family. Please pray for my transition back into "normal" life. Thanks.
John & Rachel, Zambia (Day 11)
We would appreciate prayer for a strategic meeting to take place this Saturday 22nd October at Kitwe Chapel,
Copperbelt. It is between representatives of mission hospitals in North West Province (both missionary and
Zambian) and leaders and professional people in urban Brethren Assemblies. The purpose is to welcome and
encourage the involvement and partnership of Zambian Christians in these institutions as supporters and
fellow workers. There is the possibility of sponsorship through medical school for some students as well. Mr
Kelvin Samwata and Dr John Woodfield are organising the meeting.
Peter & Mathilde, Asia (Day 6)
Thank you all for your prayers. Peter’s surgery was postponed due to a fever. He is now scheduled for his
coronary bypass operation at Waikato Hospital on Wednesday 19th October at midday. We would both value
your prayers. We know he’s in GOOD Hands.
Annemarie & Rick, Austria (Day 16)
16-22nd October will be an enjoyable week spent working one-on-one with Christian publishers in Czech,
Hungary and Romania. I (Rick) have a guest from America, Kent, who was involved for many years in Christian
publishing and is now involved in personal training. For me this is a time to see where each of the publishers
are and how the situation is in each country, as Christian publishing in Eastern Europe is not a money maker
and many are struggling to survive! Please pray for safety in travel and no delays. Pray for good health for
Kent and myself and for wisdom in the questions we ask and information that we give to be culturally
appropriate and helpful, but most of all for God to work on the things He wants to over these meetings.
