Chicago Flower and Garden Show
At Navy Pier
Spring Cleaning
On March 12th Greenwood Care residents were able to
take pleasure in the many joys of spring at the Chicago
Flower and Garden Show. Residents strolled through
gardens such as America’s Backyard - which featured
a collection of annuals and
perennials, and the Hope for
the Healing Planet exhibit
which featured three Japanese
inspired rooftop gardens. The
gardens were breathtaking and
inspiring.
Spring has finally arrived!! Now it’s time to throw on the old
jeans and t-shirt and do some spring cleaning.

Greenwood Care residents are now ready for spring and
look forward to sunshine, raindrops, daisies, butterflies
and the upcoming events
planned for April. There
are many enjoyable and entertaining activities offered
at Greenwood Care.
Please join us in all the fun!

Greenwood Care has begun just that. We started with the
Greenwood Care Library which overflowed with books, books,
and more books; leaving
little space to relax and read
or to have group meetings.
So we completely cleared
out the library and started
from scratch. Chris Coutee
(Activity Aide) painted the
walls and afterwards buffed
and waxed the floors. He
then created a beautiful mural of President Obama and added to the atmosphere by putting
in soft lighting, decorative ornaments, a few plants, an aquarium (not real), a Betta fish (real), photographs of residents and
of course BOOKS and magazines.
Now that the library is a functional space to read, study, or
relax please come and visit; and give a BIG THANKS to Chris
Coutee for all his hard work.
