Itinerary
Day 1/2. Arrival
Flight to Ulaanbaatar. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar by air or train. You will be greeted by your guide
and driver and transferred to your hotel. Optional half or full day city tours are available.
Overnight stay at a centrally located hotel.
Day 3. Ulaanbaatar Amarbaysgalant 350km
In the morning start your journey to Amarbayasgalant Monastery, one of the most beautiful
monasteries in Mongolia. Visit and explore the grounds of the monastery. Dinner and
overnight stay in a ger camp. (L/D)
Day 4. Bulgan province / Uran Togoo 300 km
After breakfast drive to Uran Togoo, an extinct volcano in Bulgan province. You will have a
scenic drive with endless green pastures and deep blue sky. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger
camp. (B/L/D)
Day 5. lake Khuvsgul 450km
In the morning drive north to Khuvsgul province. Please keep your cameras handy; photo
opportunities will present themselves very often. Late afternoon reach beautiful Khuvsgul
lake and settle in a ger camp located on the shore. (B/L/D)
Day 6. lake Khuvsgul
Explore the breathtaking shores of Mongolia’s biggest and most beautiful freshwater lake.
There is an opportunity to go horse riding. After lunch visit a reindeer herder’s family. Learn
about their unique lifestyle and culture. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp at the
lakeshore. (B/L/D)
Day 7. Jargal Jiguur Hot Spring 280km
After breakfast start drive to Jargal Jiguur Hot spring. The spring comes out from 150m deep
and its water is not mixed with soil water because it is very hot. The camp transfers the hot
water via pipe. The best activity here is sitting in the pool and stargazing. Overnight stay in a
ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 8. Khorgiin Togoo volcano, Lake Terhiin Tsagaan 280km
Drive to a magnificent volcanic area of Khorgiin Togoo, which is located on the eastern shore
of Lake Terhiin Tsagaan. Today you will have plenty of opportunities for hiking, please wear
hiking shoes and climb up the volcanic crater. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp.

Day 9. Karakorum 320 km
After breakfast drive to Karakorum, the 13th century capital of the Great Mongol Empire.
Visit Erdene-Zuu Monastery, which was the first and largest monastery in Mongolia. Tour the
monastery and visit several temples with excellent examples of Buddhist thangka painting
dating back from the 16th century. Visit the Karakorum museum. Dinner and overnight stay
in a ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 10. Ulaanbaatar 380km
After breakfast drive back to Ulaanbaatar and check into your hotel. In the evening watch a
Mongolian traditional folk art concert. Dinner at a lavish restaurant. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 11. Departure
In the morning transfer to the airport or train station for international departure.
